For your own safety do not stay here! The location 'Tenderloin' is a well known criminal area and the streets are packed with gangs and homeless people trying to scam you, abuse you and grab you asking for money. We wish we read into this before going ahead with our booking (initially booked because of price and close to great...

The Metropolis is an older Hotel. The rooms are very clean though, as well as the bathroom. In the bathroom you can find toiletries, which is very nice. I cant say anything about the Price, because this Hotel was included in our tour. But if you are looking for a Basic Hotel in a central Location, this one is a...

The register counts every person in the room and he was very rude. The district was scaring and not safe. you were scared when you walk in the street to enter the hotel. The main entrance of the hotel was invisible.

Please save your money and do not stay here. It is in a very sketchy area. The walls are paper thin and the room is the worst, most disgusting room I have ever seen. Could not sleep if you tried or wanted to on the bed. Noise coming from the streets. Sirens, homeless people screaming at one another, homeless people...

Where do I start with this appalling hotel?! By far the worst place we have ever stayed at. Reception staff were rude, room was an absolute joke. Everything was damp due to no air circulation in room, no fan in bathroom, toilet blocked on the first day, someone came to unblock it and carried in an already poo stained plunger...

This hotel was not worth any of the hype of previous reviews. My wife and I were lured in with decent pricing (compared to other large chain hotels in the city) and were severely let down. When we arrived in San Francisco, it was chillier (in the upper 40's) and our room was freezing! The small electric radiator unit in...

Overall a great stay. Pros: The location for me was excellent. It was close to union square and close to the main buses and LRT lines to get anywhere in town. There's a safe in the room. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable. Cons (which to me were worth it for the price I paid, about 100$ plus...

The hotel is located on walking distance from Chinatown and next to a shopping mall. On walking distance form Loris...the best breakfast place in SF!! Personnel are very friendly and helpful. The room rate is reasonable for SF. Walking distance form the bike and car rental, easy to reach, outstanding service!

The hotel has done a good job of renovating quite an old building without spending too much money. It feels reasonably modern and is more than comfortable enough. The area does feel rather run down and 'ghetto', but still felt safe at all times, and was about a block away from better areas.
