Brand new hotel, only open for a month, all hotel facilities are high tech, modern cool, use-friendly, has million USB connections, even air-dryer is digital one.

Location is great, at mission bay, new neighbor hood of San Francisco, very quiet, has a lot of great restaurants nearby. San Francisco giant stadium ATT park is walking distance, also great mission bay to enjoy via walking.

One unique attraction is robot, Henry, who can send room service needs by itself. It is great attraction for kids.

Hotel staffs are all friendly and professional, very responsive and help for guests. Highly recommended for both family vacation and business trip as well.

Great Hotel! The entire staff was friendly, Accommodating, And in the words of one of the staff members, "We are here to spoil our customers." A comment he made after we repeatedly thanked them. All the rooms looked brand new. The shower pressure was great, It had all the amenities needed, If you forgot something like tooth paste you can order it over the phone the phone and a robot would take it directly to your room completely sanitized.
We had a pizza delivered and the staff was nice enough to take it to the room directly which is a great safety precaution. You cannot Use the elevators unless you have a direct room key for security and safety. Their beds and pillows were so comfortable. It was the 1st time I was able to sleep in and sleep completely through the night at a hotel.
The only downfall was the sky lounge was not ready yet. It'll be about another month because they completely renovated the sky lounge. We plan on returning in a month and a 1/2 to make sure we get to experience that. Since they do not have that ready and available for customers they have a 5 PM to 6 PM cocktail cocktail wine hour free of charge to their hotel guests everyday. Their gym is updated updated and amazing has everything you need for a great workout in the morning.
Valet is $75 a day, but everything is pretty much in walking distance and you save from ha eing to pay for public parking.
I highly recommend and we will be back! Btw, they are super kid friendly!!!!!!!

I stayed here for 15 nights, so I feel pretty well qualified to write this review. The hotel opened in July 2022, so it’s perfectly clean and well designed. An excellent size bathroom and a bright, roomy bedroom make staying in very comfortable and peaceful. I appreciated the motorised blockout blinds. The staff were terrific and a lovely supermarket is about 30 metres away. Walking distance to the the Chase Center (go Warriors!) and Oracle Park. I always felt safe and I was happy to walk alone at night (yes, I’m a woman). It’s a very safe area without the chaos of downtown. If you’re joining day tours, you’ll have to make the journey downtown, but I found the feeling of safety outweighed the slight annoyance of having to spend time travelling. There’s a train that passes the door, and lots of bus routes a few blocks away. I would like a coffee maker in the room, that’s my only gripe. The cafe downstairs is great, but at A$11 per coffee, it’s not something you want to use very often. Thanks Luma staff for a great stay.

Property is well placed, the area is still being developed and the hotel is still under construction. The kitchen is not in service and the roof top access is still being constructed. Staff members informed us of this upon arrival and we were told that these amenities would not be available until mid October. The cost of the room was a bit high compared to the competition around the area but considering the location with respect to Oracle Park it's mildly understandable.

Bed comfort is average, nothing to rave about. Room amenities are okay, the fridge isn't a fridge - it's a cooler, so don't expect to be able to keep anything cold unless your bringing ice blocks with you. The shower and bathroom was pretty good, and the blind setup for the windows is fantastic. Blocks out 98% of the light in the morning which is great for those of us who are night owls.

Overall, when everything is done being constructed, this property will be a nice place to stay at. Just wish we were informed of the things that were not going to be included before staying or booking.

There are two wonderful Hotels within walking distance to Oracle Park and the San Francisco Giants and the Chase Center and the Warriors. As a Giants Fan who lives too far away to travel for back-to-back games I have stayed at the very convenient VIA many times, for years. It doesn’t get much easier than across the street. A little pricey but it’s San Francisco. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable. Now there is a new Hotel just two blocks from Oracle and about 6 blocks from Chase. The Luma Hotel shines, literally. Well lit, open and airy, decorated in bright colorful lights at night. A glass of wine offered at check in is very nice. The Staff is attentive and very friendly. Kevin out did himself to assure my satisfaction. My room was everything I was hoping for and more, well, except the lack of a coffee maker but, there is a great coffee shop in the Lobby. For me who likes to drink my coffee before going out the door I brought my own electric tea pot. Four elevators makes going up and down super fast. Valet parking is really expensive. $75 a day plus a $10 “Valet Tax”. You receive a Valet Text and you text CAR when you want your car. Unfortunately it took almost 30 minutes for my car to arrive. I'll text earlier next time. I might try overnight parking somewhere else and walking a few blocks with my luggage. However, you are splurging on a nice hotel in the city, what’s an extra $85 for parking? I’m guessing that it is promotional to encourage people to give the Luma a try but I stayed two nights at the Luma for the price of one night at the VIA. So, book your stay now before the rates start going up. In the end there is no comparison. The Luma is worth every step of the two blocks and will be my hotel destination while enjoying multiple games from now on.

From the moment I pulled up till after I left, I had nothing but pleasant interactions with all of the staff. The room was beautiful and felt very sanitary. I felt very safe for the entirety of my stay. The location was fantastic, a beautiful walk to the office I was visiting and conveniently located in walking discuss of many delicious food options. The roof-top lounge is a great vibe with fantastic views!
My only complaints are with the lighting, which is pretty crucial for a good nights sleep for me:
When getting up to go to the restroom in the middle of the night, it is extremely disruptive to be blasted with the automatic blue "night" light. It is well documented that blue light is disruptive to sleep, so this makes no sense. There's also no way to turn it off.
The switches for the gliding screens on the windows have green lights on them that stay on always. Blackout curtains aren't much help when you can't even turn off all the lights in the room.
There is a light in the robe closet that is activated by a motion-sensor next to the bed (why???) Every time I rolled over, I was awoken by the 'click' of the sensor and the light emanating from around the door of the closet. When I spoke to the front desk about it, they said I needed to have the switch by the door turned off. I ensured that all switches were in the off position, but the light activation persisted. Maybe mine was faulty. I wound up having to use a sticker to cover the light, as it's bright and right across from the bed.
Next time I will be sure to purchase an eye mask for the trip.

Hi deserae215, Thanks very much for your feedback, we are sorry to hear of your experience with our lighting in the guestroom. The light inside the closet was not connected properly and will be corrected immediately to ensure it will not be turned on by any motion in the room. The purpose of the night light in the bathroom was meant to offer guests a dim night light and not to have to turn on the overhead bright lights in the bathroom. We acknowledge blue color is more disruptive than other colors relatively and we will evaluate feasibility to change to other color. Thank you again for bringing these items to our attention. Cheers, Russell B

we chose this hotel due to the location to Chase Center. Very nice overall clean check in was great except they would not give me a second key for my wife. Check out for valet was the worst I had to wait an hour and 45 minutes to get my vehicle even though I texted car before I left my room and was late to our prior engagement in northern Sonoma. I know people are shortstaffed but there has to be a better system or I would’ve rather of gotten my car on my own. No bathrooms on the first floor nothing around the venue for food late Uber eats did not drop off at right location due to doors being locked and not accessible . For $400 a night I’m not quite sure it was worth a stay

I am a little late to writing, but this place is totally worth the review so it is better late than never. I don't usually even write reviews, but I think all visitors to San Francisco need to know about this place. Not only was it a great hotel for the city, but hands down one of the best hotel experiences I have had to date. I arrived very late past check in time, and I could not have felt more safe upon arrival at that hour. The staff was very friendly, Eric helped me with all of my reservations before I arrived and was very patient with all of my questions. The bellman was very sweet and was a treat saying hi to him during my late night wanderings. Ricky was very helpful and has a very welcoming spirit. He went above and beyond to check me in, and continued throughout my stay. I was in the holiday spirit and traveled alone, but he made it feel right at home and I felt like I was truly a guest and that he wanted to make a nice experience for me. Working in the hotel industry this is something I have learned to appreciate and yet most hotels I have been to have lacked. I really enjoyed the personable staff throughout the hotel, including Henry the robot :) and at the SKY LOUNGE. They gave me drink coins to go up and try the new restaurant before it opens to the public, and I know it will be a great place to go once it does open. The bar staff had great knowledge of the specialty drinks, which were so delicious and menu and they offered unique dishes. The rooms were clean and had great views of the city. I walked around outside of the hotel and being right on the waterfront the views were just so pleasant and I felt safe in this area. I did go out a bunch for new years festivities, but I also found great joy in just staying in my room. Loved the modern technology, since I live in the wilderness and do not get much. I loved it so much I already booked a stay to come back again and feel like I don't need to go anywhere else. I have lived in the city and have gone for years, but I finally found a place I love. Thank you LUMA San Francisco!!! That was hands down the best way to ring in the new year!!

ew! Wonderful service. Great coffee bar. Loved Henry bringing my food to the room. Awesome shower. Spacious, clean, huge windows, amazing view, two drop down electronic wall switch control curtains (shaded) to choose from, one is a black curtain, which is highly efficient, leaves the room pitch black to sleep during the day. All in all great amenities. Worth every penny!🤩

This was our second time staying at Hotel Luma; both times going to a SF Giants game. From the moment you drive in you are treated with the utmost in customer service. The Hotel Luma staff are extremely courteous, friendly and go above and beyond in ensuring your stay is enjoyable. We were treated like royalty. We stayed in the Premier room with our view overlooking the Port of San Francisco/San Francisco Bay. The rooms are quiet; equipped with light filtering and room darkening shades; 65" TV screen; refrigerator and a spacious shower with dual shower heads and wands. The bedding is luxurious, so much so that I have ordered the pillows we had during our stay (Down Etc). The location is perfect for going to a SF Giants game. Oracle Park is minutes away from the hotel and within walking distance to the Chase Center. Hotel Luma is the only place we will stay when coming back to San Francisco. Thank you Hotel Luma for epitomizing excellence in customer service!
