When I suggested to my partner that we stay in a hostel he was a bit concerned, but after reading the reviews I convinced him that this sounded, and looked, like a great place to stay, for an affordable price. You did not let us down HI-San Francisco! The hostel is in a convenient location a few blocks from Union...

Private room with bathroom. Inexpensive stay in San Francisco. Bus service is only 1 block away. Nice facility and very friendly staff. First time hostel stay and would definitely recommend. Clean comfortable place to enjoy hilly SF and rest your weary feet. We are 60 plus and felt very welcomed and secure there. Street noise but that's to be expected...

The location was pretty good. There were lots of various common areas where you could hang out with comfy lounge areas. The wifi was fast. The beds were comfy and had little privacy screen, USB ports and multiple power points with a shelf for your stuff.

We stayed here prior to boarding the Queen Elizabeth More like a blast to the past. Good breakfast included, brewed coffee 24 hours, clean sheets and towels, and a comfortable bed. Basic facilities. About a 5 minute walk from Union Square. Takes about 40 minutes to walk to the port area along Market St. Walked to Chinatown. About U.S.$120.\ day...

It was the perfect location, along with the 4-bed dorm room, the best tours courtesy of that hostel, and most importantly: the other best 2 location facilities: Pier 39 and the Castro District. They gave me great memories because of that city. I loved them, a lot.

I stayed here for 6 nights in a 4 bed dorm. The elevator was broken and I was meant to be on the 6th floor ..the receptionist saw I had abit of luggage so he was so kind to move me down to the 1st floor. Really comfortable bed, facilities were really clean and hostel activities were fun especially the...

The hostel was ok in terms on bedrooms. The bathroom was pretty small and very hard to move around in. The breakfast was so good though - pay $2 to get pancakes made for you! Hey have a small bar but the hostel vibe isn't great.. not very sociable. It is in a central spot with union square about a...

My friend and I stayed here for three nights. We were in a private room with our own shower and, as the last leg of a five-week trip, it was a dream. Our room was much better than we expected. We also weren't expecting the basic breakfast options. Overall, we were really pleased with our experience. The staff keep a...

I stayed in the hostel for 6 nights, in a 4 bed female dormitory, with a friend. On my third day, Tuesday, the other 2 girls in our room checked out, and left the hostel before me and my friend did left for the day. I had a Disneyland sweatshirt, but got the sleeve wet, so I left it on...
