Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but
can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s
version of Wall Street. The rush of business people
make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of
life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the
narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of
historic and contemporary architecture, including the
iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours,

Everyone at the hostel was so super friendly, from the staff, to guests. We all would sit in the common room and talk, share advice, and even cook together! The free ramen and PB&J sandwiches were really so nice, and it was nice making some sandwiches for travelers who have never

The location is perfect. Well connected to hot spots of the city, within walking distance from China Town, Little Italy, Fisherman's wharf, Market Street etc.
Good space to store luggage too and a steady supply of all-day breakfast/ramen.

Hi Sugandh! We're glad you had a comfortable stay. Thank you very much for your review and your suggestion. We are actually in the process of designating one of our dorms as a female-only dorm. Future guests who identify as female will be able to request to stay in it. We hope to eat ramen with you again soon!

Both has an amazing personality. It adds value to the hostel having a nice staff working in the area. I would have back out due to stairs problem if not because of a very charming Katrin.

I’ve learned a lot from your hostel. Well entertained by Brandon on the second day. The ho

Do you have a roll in shower and wheelchair accessibility in toilet and bedroom?
Unfortunately, because we are in an old historic building is has been deemed technically infeasible and financially prohibitive to install an elevator. For guests unable to navigate our stairs we will arrange equivalent accommodation at another hostel. That said, we do have handicap accessible bathroom and dorm room. The bathroom has a roll in heater shower with a hand sprayer as well as wheelchair accessible toilet and sink. Contrary to the statement made by travglobT, the stairs are possible for some people in a wheelchair. We have found there are some people in wheelchairs who are very strong and can navigate stairs, especially because we have handrails on both sides of the stairs. In addition, the ADA bathroom works well for people having other disabilities, such as prosthetic legs. If anyone has questions about our accessibility features, we encourage them to contact the manager in advance of their arrival.

Do you have separate male female dorms or are they all mixed?
Hi Pragati, I recognize your name so I know we have already answered this question for you personally, however I will answer it again here for the benefit of other readers. As a small hostel, it's necessary that all our rooms are mixed dormitories. This works for our small community of friends who have only recently met and male/female travelers who are traveling together (sharing shampoo bottles etc.) If the mixed dorm arrangement is a concern for you, please ask and we will try to put you with mostly female dorm if that's possible. See you soon! Darren

Hiya, Me and my friend would love to stay here. We are renting a car, is there parking nearby please? Thanks, Lauren and Lucy X
Hey Lauren. As we are right in downtown San Francisco, we do not offer parking. There are parking garages 1 block away for $28/24 hours. Alternatively, we know of some first come, first served free street parking across the city. You can then take a 25 minute bus ride back. There is also some street parking in front of the hostel, but only from 7pm-7am during the week, and limited on the weekends. If you are renting a car for SF, we highly recommend NOT to. There is plenty of public transit here. if you are renting a car for a longer trip and SF is in the middle, then you can choose from the above options. You could also look at returning the car when you get to SF and renting another one after you leave, to your next destination. Hope that helps!

"It's a hostel, very comfortable bunks with linens supplied. They have a jar of earplugs, which I elected to use and I heard nothing!"
