The Club Quarters on Clay is my favorite place to stay if you have to be in the financial district for work. It's the nicest hotel for the price. The hotel is on a safe and nice block a couple of blocks off of Market and the Embarcadero. This is probably not the ideal location for tourists but it's great...

The club quarters is pretty expensive, the rooms are very small, not clean and don't have natural light. The service is ok, but not helpful enough. The location is great and very central, but I would not recommend it.

We were in SF from 3/16-3/18 and stayed at one of our preferred hotels, Club Quarters. We came from the airport, were not well oriented when we exited BART, called the hotel and got easy to follow directions. Upon checking in Elizabeth engaged us on our stay, learned a bit about us and upgraded us to a room with a...

Great hotel for the value. San Francisco is an expensive city, and hotels are not the exception. CQ was affordable and very nice!!! Clean!! We got to the hotel early and got a free upgrade to a bigger suite. Liz took care of us, checked us in and gave us dim sum recommendations. Highly recommended. If prices don't change I...

Small rooms. My coworker and I shared a teeny tiny bed. The bathroom had a large space between the floor and the bottom of the door which made bathroom activities interesting with a coworker. Less than pleasant workers in the lobby. Plugs kept shorting out when straightening hair. We weren't in the room much but still.

Deemarie212; It's unfortunate that you did not have a better experience with us. Sounds like you would have been better served in a room with a King bed, which we also have. I'm surprised to see your comments of the staff. I will share your review with them so that we may discuss as a team. Thank you for your...

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
