The shared shower on the 5th floor was the absolute worst, there was no water pressure, hardly any water and very little heat. Our room had no mirror, so to get ready we had to stand in the toilet cubicle down the hall which was really gross. Despite this, the room itself was nice and tidy, the location was great...

At the front desk, girls there were kind and the rooms given were acceptable. the best thing is not this room but near by the hotel. It is located in walking distance from Moscon Center, next door there is a mart you can buy what you need..

Basic, but clean and well maintained room. Great staff. Great location. I've asked for a quiet room and indeed it was quiet. The only cons are the mattress that is so-so and that it gets quite cold at night.

the location is convenient. Room is small for two but clean. Room is too small for two. It also has a wired design with a sink in the room. A bit overpriced for the room quality; but that may be the norm in SF. Overall, it is a good stay.

The Herbert Hotel is located in the heart of the San Francisco city center. Too close to any public transportation and showrooms of famous brands like Apple, Macys, Uniqlo, Sketchers, Victorias Secret, GAP etc. Not a luxiurious Hotel but very clean and you have everything you need for a touristic or business trip in your room.

Heading back home from 4-day business conference in So. Calif -- one night "pit stop" in SF [to see friends, good meal, and theater]. Extreme budget option this time around since I knew would only be in room for a few hours overnight. Super small, shared bath and shower down the hall -- purely a bed and small desk in...

This hotel is near to everything. The metro station is about two blocks away and the famous cable car is right in the front of the hotel. The room is very clear and comfortable dispite of there is no bathroom in our room. So if you need more privacy, ask for a room with bathrooms.

Got a great price on this hotel when I was in town for a job fair. The location is wonderful, just a block from Union Square. Easy access to the BART trains and MUNI trains. I reserved an economy room. The website shows an economy room as having a sink in the room and says that the shower and toilet...

I love this hotel. I mean love. Its me. Its get's me. It knows I need comfort yet high design, it knows I need shops but access to transport. It knows and it delivers. I found this little gem on a lost Top 10 boutique Hotels in the Guardian Newspaper (I'm very high brow- I read such things, stop judging)...

Came to town for a few days looking for a good location and a good price. We were pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive the rate was and how close we were to everything. Room was clean and large, we chose to upgrade to a room with a private bath. No frills, but if we visit again I'll definitely be staying...
