Our room was adequate, good bed, bath, and space to move around. The decor was modern without much character. Hallway carpeting was really strange, feeling like hills and valleys underfoot. The staff were not particularly in tune with out of town guests, suggesting the incorrect parking garage. I was basically not too impressed with our stay. We won't be returning...

Four of us stayed here at the end of November and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The rooms were clean and comfy. The staff was very courteous and helpful....a delight to deal with. Specifically, Nick on the front desk and Ritchie, the doorman, were extremely helpful. Nick went above and beyond and helped us so much as we tried to...

This hotel is very stylish and the rooms are clean and well appointed. For SF, the room I had was a nice size. However, I found the service to be very cold and uninterested. Each time I went to the front desk, the two attendants were typing or doing something on their computers and seemed to continue to do as...

The four of us (best couple friends) pick an extra long weekend, pick a new city and land! We've done this all across North america and this Hotel was probably in my top 3! Clean and fresh rooms, boutique feel while maintaining the scale of a full service hotel at reasonable rates. It is in a part of Union that...

Took a chance booking here, SO very glad we did. Had a few issues- no coffee maker, a/c did not cool one morning. Night staff personally gave Keurig! A/C finally cooled by the time we returned to room later that day. Staff extremely helpful about what to see, eat, where not to go,etc. Entire staff very polite. Room clean and...

I checked into this hotel in San Francisco it was a nightmare to get to and park. No left turns are allowed and the valet at $50 per night is a joke. This hotel at least this room is awful it's located right beside the restaurant and bar which means you have to hear the staff walking down the hall...

Lots of food close by, particularly the mall.. good variety of food, cultural explosion. A block or so from the trolley pick up. Front desk staff are helpful. Coffee and tea selection is extraordinary. :( faces Parking...

I stayed at Hotel Zelos for 3 nights on business. You can't beat the location of the hotel in the heart of San Francisco on 4th and Market with walking distance to all the great shopping and Union Square. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and my room was nice. I did call in advance and asked to be...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
