The hotel is in a convenient part of town for the convention center, and is reasonably priced. However, first impression of the room was that there was damp/stale smell, followed by the noise of the the cars outside (window is only single glazed) and a loud hum from a grille in the ceiling. The decor of the room is fun...

Dear Skanaoya, Your comments about your stay with us are much appreciated and we thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and the Trip Advisor community! Big rooms, clean, comfy beds, friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay and would go back. Had an issue with our tv and they fixed it immediately. Breakfast is basic, muffin and fruit with coffee, tea or juice. Enough to get you out of the hotel and start your day. For SF, affordable.

I travel to SF quite frequently for business and never stayed in this part of town but I thought I'd give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed! The hotel is very cute, as it's small and cozy. Not much of a lobby other than the friendly agents. The room was very large and was comfortable. Wifi was...

We've stayed at this hotel several times. It is in walking distance of some great spots, including SFMOMA and Yerba Buena Gardens, Slim's Night Club, the Great American Music Hall, SFJazz, the Asian Art Museum, the Warfield and more. The only drawback is that the area around UN Plaza on Market is a bit dicey, but otherwise this is a...

This place is old, but well maintained and pretty clean! There are only 48 rooms each with a theme associated with a notable celebrity. I stayed in the Isadora Duncan room. It was green. Yeah a lot of shades of green. The room was clean and there's a refrigerator that would go on and off during the night. There's free...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
