This hotel opened over the last few months and still feels fresh inside and room linens and mattress feel new. Its oriented towards adventure travel and staff is knowledgeable of local trails and national parks. They have a nice gear shop where people can buy hiking and riding goods they forgot to pack. They even have a bike stand with tools where you can build up or repair your mountain bike, very handy! Pool showers are very nice and clean, we checked out early went for a ride and took a shower before the drive to airport. Will be staying here again.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Dog friendly, pool/hot tub, rooms with comfortable bed and minimalist design, and reasonable pricing. Traveled with my wife and two dogs at the end of February 2024. There were not many people in Moab this time of year and we had most of the hotel to ourselves. We stayed in the King Room and it is bigger than it looks in pictures. There's actually more room for bikes than the pictures appear. There are also good hanging areas on the walls for gear. I liked the long bench on the wall as well. Simple and really useful for gear. Pool and hot tub were great as well as the outdoor lounge area. There are lots of extra towels at the pool as well as a towel drop that makes it convenient.

Staff was all very friendly. Heather in particular was helpful multiple times with questions about the area.

Dogs
If you're bringing dogs, know that this is the desert and almost nowhere has any grass. Of the other hotels I looked at, they didn't really have grass either and if they did, dogs weren't allowed on it. The main park in town with grass (Swanny City Park near the Rec Center) doesn't allow dogs. So your dog will have to go on gravel. There are multiple spots around the hotel with small gravel, but the largest gravel spot around the hotel for dogs is by the van hook up area near the pool. It has a half alcove fence. There's also a picnic table and dirt near there if your dog needs additional coaxing.

The rooms are all interior entry/exit, there's no sliding door from your room to the outside. So know you will have to walk your dog through the interior hallway. Not an issue if it's not busy or your dog isn't reactive, but if you have a reactive dog know that you could meet other dogs or people in the hallway. Also know that you're not supposed to leave your dog unattended in your room, so in the heat of spring/summer you could have issues if plan to leave your dog in your car while you site-see or go to the pool. It will be way too hot for that so you'll have to take your dog with you everywhere which will limit where you can go in the park.

Van Camping Area
I have a van and would definitely use a van spot too. You get electrical hook-up, access to pool/hot tub, lounge, outdoor lounge, WiFi, and showers/bathrooms. The van life showers/bathrooms are two individual bathrooms that lock and each have a shower with soap/shampoo. New and clean.

Overall the best location I've found in Moab for my needs and I hope to be back soon.

We stayed 2 nights at the Field Station in Moab. Hotel looks exactly like the photos, very cool design, clean room and extremely friendly and helpful personnel.

However, the rooms are not at all soundproof, you can hear every noise from the hallway, and it can be very loud when people are talking there or when someone decides to get ice in the middle of the night as we experienced during our second night.
Additionally, I would like to mention that the hotel claims to be sustainable, mentions various brands based in California or Japan where they got all their linens, towels, bath products and refrigerators for the rooms. To see that the actual blanket is made in China was a bit disappointing.

All in all, with little better soundproofing, I would definitely stay there again as it is a modern, and different kind of hotel.

First night at the hotel we had another guest come into our room, the night staff gave them key and they entered our room at 11pm luckily we had the extra lock on. The response in the morning was here is some free breakfast food and we are sorry. I’ve the course of the next week while we were there we asked 3 times to have our room cleaned up and get fresh towels toilet paper trash taken out etc. every time the response from the front desk was we will write a note and take care of it or you are next on line it never happened until I contacted upper management after day 5. Also during email with upper people we were told that there would be conversation with the hotel manager and we would be compensated somehow with a possible discount as this hotel is not cheap. It’s been 3-4 weeks with no communication from them despite reaching out. I have email chain verifying all communication as well. Overall terrible experience for an overpriced hotel I would never recommend and would actually discourage people from staying here.

Response from Rebecca Cavallaro, General Manager at Field Station Moab
Responded 1 week ago
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. I sincerely apologize for the multiple issues you encountered during your recent stay at our hotel. It is truly disheartening to learn about the inconvenience and discomfort you experienced. The incident regarding another guest gaining access to your room is completely unacceptable and falls well below the standards we strive to uphold. I deeply regret the distress this caused you and your party. Your safety and security are of paramount importance to us. We do not have a record of this occurrence, but I assure you that we are taking immediate steps to address the lapse in our security protocols and prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Furthermore, I apologize for the inconvenience you faced with the housekeeping services. I personally spoke with the housekeeper assigned to clean your room while you were in house. When he went to your room the two previous days, he was told it was not a convenient time. We were unable to send someone at a later time. This lack of attention to detail is not reflective of our commitment to providing exceptional service, and I will be personally reviewing our procedures with our staff to ensure this issue is rectified. We did waive the housekeeping fee prior to checkout for your inconvenience. I understand that your experience has left you feeling dissatisfied and hesitant to recommend our hotel. Please know that we take your feedback seriously and will use it to implement necessary improvements. We value your patronage and hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust and welcome you back for a much-improved experience in the future. Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment you experienced during your stay.

My partner and I are avid cyclists and hikers and Field Stn. Moab was the perfect stay. This property is geared toward getting outside, it’s not just a hotel near outdoor activities and this is the first time EVER our bikes have been welcomed into our room! We loved the hard surface floors, the shower, not a shower curtain on a bath tub, and the bright, clean, utilitarian room design. It’s like being a member of a sportsman’s club and this is our clubhouse.

An awesome deal! Parked our camper van in a van spot for multiple days during our visit to Moab. I didn't rate the rooms, because we stayed in our camper van. The staff was great and it was really nice to have access to the pool, hot tub, and common areas of the facility. In addition, van campers have access to two showers/bathrooms that are right next to the parking spots. Road noise at night is fairly loud, so bring some ear plugs.

I've stayed in many lodgings in Moab over my 25 years of visiting the national parks and BLM lands in the area: Lazy Lizard hostel, luxury B&B, airbnb room next to private house, 3 different motels... For staying in town, and even if it has a bit of "old motel hallways feel" I highly recommend Field Station because of its location, amenities, and clean, comfortable rand well-soundproofed ooms. I biked up the bike path from the motel to the trails at the Bar M; I could walk into town (it's a bit further than those in downtown, but not that much); and the motel offers a great communal space including an outdoor fire pit area and pool, plus work and games areas (I needed to work and could do so in my room and in the large airy communal space that had "nooks.") Espresso/coffee services in the reception area and hot water offered any time during the day/night for tea. The staff were friendly and helpful and available by text and in person. I was solo however could imagine great for families and groups; the families with little children definitely enjoyed the pool area, and the adults were playing ping pong!

This hotel’s designers thought of everything. The room had all the modern design details and functional places to store equipment, clothes, etc. The onsite shop had cool and nice clothing, bags, equipment, etc. The pool and hot tub were great and the snack bar had an excellent light breakfast. There were also free onsite laundry services for the guests. And the bed had great sheets and was comfortable!

The check-in was easy and smooth with very friendly staff. The hotel was as pictured on the website, very clean and cozy. The room was big with modern facilities. They provide shampoo, conditioner, body gel and hand soap. There’s a coffee shop with pastries in the lobby and a gift shop where you can buy gloves, shirts, hats, etc. They have a game room with table tennis, etc. A hot tub and heated pool that’s open until 10pm. Lots of good restaurants nearby and close to the visitor center for the arches.

Clean, quiet, welcoming hotel with well-designed rooms, great lighting, and hotel layout. I loved the common spaces, the yummy cafe, the filtered water dispenser, the game room and the outside area with gas firepit. The rooms were thoughtfully appointed with all that you need and set up well for bikes and charging electronic devices. The front desk staff, both night and day shifts, were welcoming and friendly. I definitely look forward to staying here again.
