It's only $5 to spend the day here or to drive through. $15 to camp for the night. There were 20ish campsites for RVs and about 20 more that can be accessed only with a car or on foot. All were interesting and in their own little rock coves. Tons of slick rock to run around on right next to...

Just returned from a road trip vacation where the first three nights were spent camping in the Sand Flats. We found a great spot that wasn't too sandy (I HATE sand in my tent!) and had beautiful, perfect weather the whole time. No shade to speak of so bring a shade tent or tarp. The campground bathrooms were surprisingly clean...

My son and I just stayed here. It is a unique campground, with cozy nook campsites tucked into rocky corners, some with shade. Get one with shade. There are giant rocks all over to climb on. It is otherworldly. However, we made the mistake of camping here in July, where it was 106 degrees yesterday. At 10pm, it went down...

If you like the outdoors, this is the place to be. I am an avid mountain biker and have enjoyed this area for years. Recently I was introduced to the ATV/UTV world. Challenging trails and great way to see the sights this beautiful landscape has to offer. Small fee at the entrance, well worth what lies on the other side....

There are a whole lot of camping sites up there, some good, some not so good. Good advice is to find a site that isn't near the entrance or exit of one of the many four-wheeling trails, otherwise you'll have people in ATVs driving by all day, some of whom blast music and drive fast (kicking up dust and making...

This place is stinning. If you're camping, driving through, pic nicing, or stopping to hike, bike or motor on any of the wonderful trails you'll have a fantastic time. The campgrounds are well equipped. The trails are plentiful. The Sand flats road turns to dirt but is quite well maintained and we just had a ball up here on the...

In my opinion, by far the most fun to be had in Moab. This place is like a natural theme park! We rented a Polaris Razr UTV for the day and tried the Fins and Things trail. I know some people take their stock 4x4s here but I personally wouldn't do that. I figured the cost of renting a UTV...

If you want to build confidence and find out what your rig will do off road then you should visit this park as part of your Moab warm up. I did the Finns and Things trail in the morning and finished with Hells Revenge in the afternoon.

A few minutes away from town, this is a beautiful location for a great price. Pit toilets (that are unique, as they have no roof and look up to the sky- which helps with the smell), no water, and awesome views! Check out the map and grab a site on a loop that is NOT the entry to the dune...

We drove into Moab via the unbelievably scenic UT-128 (a must drive), we passed lots of campgrounds along the river but as we got closer to Moab the FULL signs began appearing. We headed up to Arches to hear the same news, at the visitor centre they recommended this campground. We headed up here and were pleasantly surprised, only $10...
