We had looked forward to staying at this old hotel in the middle of town. It has been fitted out handsomely with period turn of the 20th century decor. We had reserved a queen bedded room.. The check in receptionist was unsmiling and curt. The room (#12) was quite small and

Spent an overnight in this comfortable historic hotel. Stayed in The Cottage which was very quiet and comfortable. No complaints to this quick overnight special and will definitely be returning ! That is for the outstanding service!

11/9 through 11/11-2018. The bed in our first room(#15) was terrible and I couldn't see my face in the mirror since it was so low in the ultra small bathroom. We could feel the steel springs in the mattress and we couldn't sleep. We considered leaving the second night and

Loved this quaint historic hotel! Each room was adorable, ranged in size from just a bed to a full sized room with en suite bathroom. The person at the front desk was extremely helpful and knowledagble about the history of the hotel and area.

where do you park your car
There are several sites on the street and a hotel parking space behind the hotel. If you are visiting the hotel the staff can help with parking. Otherwise you will need to look around.

Can you take food into the hotel?
My room didn't have a fridge but I can't see them stopping you myself! There is a picnic table to one side of the hotel (on the right) which is not a major part of the service place and I suspect you could sit there and eat a picnic you'd brought! I sat there and read my book and ate a biscuit and cup of something I'd made. They don't serve breakfast so surely you could sit and eat croissants and drink orange juice somewhere. Sorry that's the best I can do to answer that question!

The cottage is behind the hotel. It looks nice from the outside but unfortunately I didn't see the inside. The staff at the hotel should be able to answer your questions, give them a call. They were super helpful when we were there.
