The only place to stay in the park. Paper thin walls. Outdated plumbing. Heating system is hazardous. We could hear conversation in the next room and every time they flushed the toilet. Old furniture and dismal blankets. REALLY cheap sheets on the bed. This place has no competition so it can charge a lot for a little. It just looks...

There isn't a better bang-for-your-buck in all of Texas than Roosevelt cottages 101, 102, 103 (100 is for VIPs, and that ain't us). They'll all tell you that 103 is the best, but we've stayed in all 3, and if you want to "hide out" with the beautiful views, I would choose 102. 103 seems to attract a crowd around...

Clean rooms in the style of many lodging options in the National Parks -- simple, clean rooms and friendly staff. My wife and I stayed at the Chisos Mountain Lodge twice in January 2017 before and after camping in the Chisos Basin backcountry. Importantly, our rooms faced the stunning Chisos Mountains, as many of the rooms have balconies -- really,...

My room was quite clean and comfortable. As soon as i opened the door there was a very pleasant fragrance in the room. Its not a resort by far, yet the location and views are quite nice. Having a restaurant on site for a hardy breakfast made for a great way to start the day. The bed was a bit...

I loved this hotel because there was no TV in our room and the internet was not working. Just a short walk to the general store and restaurant. The night sky was clear and we could see the Milky Way. The heater/ac worked great, we were very comfortable.

The rooms are clean and the views are spectacular. Great way to balance the outdoor adventure without having to camp out and meal plan. Comfortable bed and a nice hot shower to end a long day of hiking was an awesome way to explore this beautiful area.

The only thing nice about this hotel is the location. It is close to many of the hiking trails and has really nice views from the room. However, it is filthy dirty! The tub had lots of mold in it and was brown verses white. The bathroom sink was the same dirty brown color. The beds were so hard and...

I made reservations 16 months in advance to secure lodging over the Christmas holiday. There are no other lodges or hotels in the park and the park is the vast in size. The room was nothing fancy but comfortable and met our needs for rest and quiet. There is no cellular service and for four days we did without, though...

After 34 years of living in Texas, it was time to visit Big Bend National Park. What a gorgeous place! It was quite a drive from the Dallas area, but the minute you get into the park, you realize it was well worth it! I can't say enough good things about Big Bend National Park! This place is like the...

If your traveling to Big Bend and don't intend to camp this is the best place to stay! It's a little dated but it's 20 miles closer to the center of the park than your next best option. If you plan to go during a busy time plan well ahead because space is pretty limited. We were on the second...
