I recently stayed in a yurt at this campground. I was pleasantly surprised to find the yurt in great condition. It was stocked with coffee, paper goods, towels and linens. Everything was in working order and we especially enjoyed the fireplace in the yurt. Kudos to the decorator of the yurt. The curtain panels were a perfect fit and touch....

So glad you enjoyed your stay in the yurt, especially happy you liked the curtains. Yes, during the fall season when the leaves are off the trees, you can hear some highway noise. Hopefully, you'll come back to visit us.

What a wonderful park!!! In all my years of camping, never have we had the beautiful mountain views that this little park provided. The park itself is beautifully maintained and the staff (Jason and his wife) could not have been more friendly or helpful. I hope we are able to return to Campfire Lodgings again someday.

We have a 25' class C. No problem with the roads or turning around. D13 was the only spot in the park that would not support one of the big rigs (unless you bent it to get around a couple of trees). Spaces were wide & partially shaded. Premium had beautiful views of the valley. Deluxe was $50/night for full...

We found this property searching the internet for stops on a cross country trip we took. The webpage has video taken by drone that was irresistible! I booked our site in January for end of September. The gal couldn't guarantee that I would get my first choice since we were staying on a Tuesday and Wednesday. She did promise I...

we were in a large site overlooking the most glorious mountains. it was foggy below the mountain tops in the morning, magnificent at sunset and just beautiful all day long. they have a seating area with a fire pit overlooking the mountains in case you are in one of the interior sites. the staff was great -- gave us great...

We booked to stay three nights and wished we would have booked a longer stay! To have the best views - you need to book a premium site. We stayed in P-8 and the sunsets were amazing! Ellen was very friendly and helpful during check-in and Jason made sure to stop by and make us feel welcome. I have read...

Access to the property is a steep dirt mountain road in poor condition and extremely dusty. Very dangerous. If you have a Class A I would not recommend. Coach will require a full cleaning after your trip. Site assigned under size. Touching trees on both sides. This traveler will never return.

We stayed at Campfire Lodgings for 2 weeks in a motor home. This rating reflects sites 1-8 that have wonderful views of the French Broad River and the mountains west of Asheville. These sites all have cement pads and full 50 A service. The rest of the park has good sized gravel sites, yurts (cabins) to rent, and several tent...

This is just a lovely, well-equipped, and perfectly managed campground. The couple who runs it were courteous and helpful from registration to check-in, and we were pleasantly surprised at how well-maintained the grounds were, including the bathrooms, which were a very nice change from dirty Porta Potties at other campgrounds we've stayed at in the area. The common-area overlook is...

Stunning views greet you upon your arrival. The staff is very friendly. The store is well-stocked with all the camping supplies you could need. After we checked in a staff member actually followed us down to our site and helped us park our motorhome and disengage our trailer and park that as well. While the campground does not have a...
