This was our first time staying in West Asheville and needed a place to stay for a few nights. This was the perfect place for us. Besides the whole town being lovely, the Hostel really sewed everything together. The staff was always available and friendly, ready to help with anything. I didn't notice a single crumb or dirt anywhere. The... More

My first night in Asheville, I stayed in a Motel 6 because I got into town really late. My second night, I wanted something with more character and chose this hostel over the one downtown. For the private room in the basement, I paid $66.34 with tax. That seemed really high to me at first, but it's kind of on... More

We stayed in the cottage. The staff was accommodating for a very early checkin. The room was fine. The bathroom was less than clean. Slightly used bars of soap left in the shower. Ick. I know this was an attempt to be less wasteful, but the thought of a stranger washing his/her nether regions with the same soap was icky.... More

This place was an interesting place to stay. First time in a hostel. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend for one or a 2 night stay. The experience of staying with strangers is a good one to have.

Loved the feeling of this place. It's Ina converted home so it has that comfortable feeling. Right in the center of west Asheville which, is a must see section of town along with downtown and river arts and , for me, my favorite place to be based. Everything you need is within a walk and it's quiet and neighborhood like... More

We just crashed for one night before we headed out on the AT, so we were only around probably 14 hours but it was great! The girl at check in was cool calm and collected, gave us all the info we needed and showed us our beds.(+)Beds were surprisingly comfortable compared to other hostels I've stayed in. They have a... It's like being home , some house rules to keep in mind. All basic amenities ( greatest asset - no TV ! ) provided and is maintained well. Self serve your own food , get your own beer and just chill . Conveniently located. Great hospitality from staff. Will love to return to it anytime.

I really liked this place. I enjoyed the community living. The hostel was clean and people were friendly. The beds were memory foam and I slept like a rock. They had wood and a bon fire pit outback. The only thing I didn't like was the door code didn't work (or i remembered it wrong.)and we came back late. I... More

I stayed at this hostel in October of 2015. I enjoyed my stay and would return. The staff were super friendly and helpful and I still keep up with some of them on FB. It was well located. I would give it 5 stars, except there was only one bathroom for a lot of people upstairs and it wasn't possible... More

Thanks and true. That one bathroom upstairs can get a line of people. FYI for any potential guests - we do have two bathrooms downstairs. More

Made reservations through air b-n-b. Communication was great and everyone was friendly. The place had a cool vibe. Stayed in a bunk room. First night was great. Second night we had a snorer from HELL whose tractor-like sputtering finally ended up driving me out at 2:30 am to start on the next leg of our journey. (Lesson- Bring earplugs!) Comfy... More

Thanks for the review. Sometimes people will snore while you share a dorm room. We do offer absolutely FREE ear plugs that are available on the desk when you check in. Sorry that was missed. AirBnB is a great option for people. Unfortunately they do tack on a bit of extra fees. Our regular current rate is $27/night if you... More

“If you're traveling as a couple it makes sense to get a private room. It only costs a little bit more from getting two bunks and you (obviously) have more privacy. If you're a light sleeper then the basement isn't for you just due to the fact that the rooms above you are hard wood. We didn't have any problems though.”
