The Renaissance is a beautiful, lush experience. We came in very tired from driving and were welcomed by the lovely hotel staff. They offered us laundry services which were great and invited us to see their pool. The facilities are spectacular! Our room was very stylish with modern decor and the comfiest king sized bed. We ordered room service which...

Updated (altho we didn't think it needed it) since the last time we visited. Restaurant in hotel a little pricey for dinner but we had very good cream of mushroom soup & shared a great charcuterie tray. Two queen beds with 4 fluffy pillows each were very comfortable. We were on the 11th floor overlooking the back parking lot. Not...

We decided to stay here because it was only a few miles from Biltmore Estate. However, since this is located in the hipster part of downtown Asheville, we just stayed and explored the area. There are many shops and restaurants just blocks away. New bathrooms and bedrooms we very comfortable. The fitness center also had decent Life Fitness equipment, albeit...

Pro: Location and PARKING. You can walk to anywhere you want to go downtown: a myriad of places to eat, shopping, even Churches. Bed OK (too soft for me but not everyone would agree), linens good, towels also of good quality. Aveda amenities. Staff very nice. Con: some wear on the furniture which was not sized or placed very appropriately....

This was a good Marriott hotel, clean, nice bar and restaurant in the lobby, big porch with fire pit outside, free parking, all good (parking in town is pricey and hard to find). The location sets it apart. It is on the edge of downtown and everywhere is walkable. The Thomas Wolfe site is across the street as is the...

Pay no mind to those sub par reviews from the nit pickers. This place was on point and the staff outstanding. I came in from a long trip after canceled flights and 7 hours on the road back to NC. I got in at 9pm had a warm welcome by the front desk staff. The lobby was bustling and full...

Most of the parking is in the rear, but there is not a good entrance to the hotel for bringing in bags. I room was OK, but I was woke at 4:20 am by the garbage truck and when I got in the shower I got warm water but it took 5-minutes before I got hot water. The staff at...

Our three-night stay during a conference was comfortable enough--a great bed, clean room, and helpful staff--but the hotel itself did not quite live up to the "upscale" designation that the Renaissance brand implies. Perhaps a 3.5 rating would have been more fair, but the cramped bathroom (floor space for one only!), the cheap soap that reminded me of the carbolic...
