Not for the budget traveler - well located, nice restaurants, good for business. I stay here primarily for the location to my company offices, and if I don't have time to transit from another property further away in congested Boston.

For the price I paid I would've expected a better bathroom, the shower over the bathtub was uncomfortable to use. While coffer making was possible in the room a complimentary breakfast would have been welcome. Finally the loyalty program should award air miles on a stay regardless of how the reservation is made: I was informed when I checked out...

Everyone at the hotel was professional and accommodating. . The beds were full size and well used. Excellent location and staff was very friendly. The room was booked through a travel agent and probably will be more careul next time.

My husband and I took a quick weekend trip to Boston. So we could try the chocolate buffet at Cafe Fleuri. The buffet was amazing! If you're looking for something savory, there is a menu available. We enjoyed our stay at The Langham as well. Very nice clean atmosphere. The staff was always eager to be of assistance.

The bathroom was old & poor, the shower over the bathtub uncomfortable/difficult to use. For the room cost I would've expected better. I was also frustrated at being told my reservation didn't qualify me for air miles - I think any stay regardless of how it is booked should qualify members of the loyalty scheme 1865 for this incentive.

My hosts suggested the Langham asa one of a number of choices close to their office. The TripAdvisor reviews were convincing so I asked them to book me in the Langham. It was excellent in every way - from the reception at the door to the checkout. It made a business trip a pleasure. My only complaint is that for...

Recently spent a long weekend, Wednesday thru Saturday, at the Langham and found it to be a great place to stay. Hotel is very elegant and sophisticated but the staff is warm and welcoming. The rooms are well appointed in a traditional kind of way, quiet and comfortable. The afternoon tea is delightful and a welcome respite from the hustle...

I stayed here alone for 5 days on a business trip. I usually only provide reviews when I stay at least a week with my family, but this place deserves my time to write a review. In short, the Langham approaches perfection. If you are looking for an understated and discreet hotel with tons of old world charm, then this...

Boston - got to be the favourite of all my US cities. Returned to Boston for a few days in May 2017 and had the great fortune to be booked into The Langham with my lovely new wife. The Langham really is a fabulously understated and discreet hotel. Fabulous front desk, lovely room and all round very difficult to beat....

The Langham is a great older hotel with lots of charm and old style elegance. The staff was very attentive - nightly chocolates and water bottles added a nice touch. We had a room on one of the uppermost floors with the slanted full length windows. It felt very private and cozy, and the rooms were spacious. While my husband...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
