Stayed at Green Turtle I June 29th-30th with my girlfriend for the last night of our 4 night stay in Boston. Our idea was that we would wind down and completely relax our last day and that's exactly what the green turtle provided. Bed was extremely comfortable, great breakfast, the dock is perfect to lounge on with drinks and enjoy...

My husband and I just returned from our holiday. we spent 3 nights on the green turtle. I can't express how great Jon and Karen are. I told my son that if I needed a kidney I think Jon and Karen would have done anything to find one for me. The location was great , 5 min on the T...

We stayed here July 2nd. It was wonderful. Our hosts, Jon and Karen, were friendly and very accommodating. Sitting out on the dock was peaceful, though there is noise from Logan Airport. The beds were so comfortable that I did not have any aches when I woke up in the morning. Slept like a baby. I would definitely come back...

We had a wonderful stay at the Green Turtle. Karen and Jon are great hosts.the breakfast is delicious, the site is also perfect with view to the skyline of Boston. The Airport is near but it is also near to Boston and is not disturbing. For a City visit, a car is not necessary.(2 stations with the T to the...

From the gentle sway of the water, to the harbor views and sea air, this unique and charming bed and breakfast was truly delightful. Gracious hosts Jon and Karen were lovely and attentive and very welcoming. Little touches such as snacks and cold drinks in our room upon our arrival made us feel extra special. Morning breakfast was delicious (Jon...

We stayed here last year as the first stop of a 2 week holiday in the US. Reviews on Trip Advisor led us to the Green Turtle, and it was all that was promised and more. From our first contact with Karen and John to our last (thanks for the lift to the airport John!), we found the hosts to...

We were fortunate to receive a gift to stay at the Green Turtle Floating B and B. What luck. Terrific hosts, Karen and John, primo location, easy walk to dinner, easy parking, superb hospitality. We enjoyed "docktails", yes, our friend coined a new phrase this weekend, the weather was ideal. The room was pristine, clean, clean, clean and cozy and...

This place was a wonderful find. We spent 2 nights and would have loved to spend longer. The accommodations were lovely. We stayed in Green Turtle 1 and it was impeccable. The bed was very comfortable and the little kitchen area, eating area, closet and bathroom were perfect for however long you want to stay. We were a little concerned...

We had been very excited at the prospect of staying at the Green Turtle. The hosts, John and Karen were absolutely delightful and couldn't do any more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We stayed in the house with a very comfortable bed and had a lovely breakfast prepared by John. Unfortunately one of us became quite unwell with...

Staying in Charlestown

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlestown
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Green Turtle is a floating bed and breakfast as luxurious as it is unique. Set in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard on Boston Harbor, the Green Turtle offers an expansive view of the Boston skyline along with the comfort and amenities of a modern bed and breakfast. The USS Constitution (Old Ironsides), the Bunker Hill Monument and the Freedom Trail are a short walk away. You can take the water ferry to numerous points along the waterfront. There are dining choices from bagels to world famous dining. The Green Turtle houseboat and yachts were designed for comfort above all and the only reminder you are floating in Boston Harbor is the sound of the gulls, motion of the sea and the reflection of the ocean dancing on the ceiling. It is delightful starting your day sipping coffee or enjoying a cold beverage after a day of sightseeing while sitting on your dock chairs or aft deck watching the harbor traffic and city skyline. The Green Turtle Floating Bed and Breakfast offers 3 boat choices. The Green Turtle I is a houseboat offering two private and separate suites and each has 1 queen sized bed with luxury linens. Each suite(Loggerhead and Sea Turtle) has a kitchenette and a private bathroom en suite. Each suite sleeps 2 or reserve both suites for 4 people. Green Turtle II is a 45 foot motor yacht which sleeps 2 - 6 people. She has 2 private queen staterooms with bathroom and shower in each stateroom, a full sleeper sofa in the living area, a galley and dinette and a great aft deck with comfortable outdoor furniture. Green Turtle III is a 43 foot motor yacht which sleeps 2-4 in 2 queen staterooms with bathroom and shower in each, a salon (living area) galley and dinette and an aft deck with comfortable outdoor furniture. Your suite/yacht is stocked with gourmet coffee, teas, juice yogurt, granola, spring water and snacks. We deliver fresh breakfast each morning.
