A thoughtful reimagining of what a Boston hotel can be, Hotel Commonwealth unhinges luxury from its traditional definition to bring guests urban vibrance and the ultimate in unscripted hospitality, right in Kenmore Square. That our stylish spot flanks Boston's beloved Fenway Park shines bright on its list of perks, as does being in easy embrace of the city's prominent academic, medical, technology areas. Offering notably ample guestrooms, an authentic "of-service" culture, and food so good even the locals are loyal, our hotel has distinguished itself as a Boston favorite. Newly conceived interiors remain faithful to the hotel's legendary welcoming feel, blending effortless style with considered comforts to create a relaxed urban destination. The result? A refreshingly real hotel where travel smart professionals and knowing influentials converge for inspiration and the unbridled joy of getting it right. This is Hotel Commonwealth.

Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.

Would have been a nicer view without the snow, but that's what happens in March in Boston!

I've stayed in both rooms. I recently stayed in the Fenway room for 2 nights with my husband and 16 year old daughter. There wasn't a game (not baseball season quite yet), and therefore it was very quiet. It overlooks the Mass Pike and there's a view of Fenway Park. I've previously stayed in a Kenmore room and I had no complaints but it does overlook Comm Ave where there is traffic at times and you can occasion here some noise (but nothing that would keep you awake). If I had to choose one or the other, I'd pick the Fenway room again, although you really can't go wrong with both.

"Top floor, ask for view of Fenway Park"
"the standard rooms are very spacious and can accomodate 2 people easily."
"Know that Fenway Park view rooms are right on the highway so there is a bit of noise."
"Any special requests just ask at Reception, they are always happy to help."
"Fenway Park views are special and something you won't find at many hotels in Boston."
