This is a fantastic find for Boston! The price is reasonable, especially for Boston, and the room was exceptionally clean and convenient. The rooms and bathrooms are small (like NYC) but the use of space is so efficiently used that it doesn't seem cramped. I have to say the sink was crazy small, especially for tall people like us, but...

Everything was clean, orderly and didn't run into any problems during my 5 nights stay at the Chandler. Yes, the rooms aren't that big but not too cramped that it would've bothered me. The room was clean, the bed was good and didn't hear any noise from the outside throughout my stay. There's absolutely no common space at the hotel....

The rooms, the staff, the bar downstairs, we loved all of it. Total professionalism from the staff. The rooms were very clean and good sized. Anyone who says the rooms are small has never stayed in Chicago or New York. Walking distance from everything. We will definitely stay again!

Stayed here for 3 days. Front office staff was OK when we arrived but they offered the guest in front of us a room higher up as apparently were better and she stayed for 5 days. No mention to us at all, just the regular check in duties. Additionally I wouldn't exactly call this a boutique hotel. Rooms are on...

I was very pleased with my hotel stay. The room was very clean and the location was perfect. The folks working the counter were extremely nice and very helpful. The only issue I had was that no where did I see that there was NO parking at the hotel. I spent $50.00 worth of taxi's because I had to keep...

We loved this hotel! Better rates than anything else even remotely in its class. Staff was above-and-beyond friendly. Everything was pristine. Beautiful, efficient design makes the small rooms WAY more livable and functional than we've experienced in places that are much larger in terms of square footage. You can walk from here to everywhere in town that a tourist would...

Was in Boston for a conference but ended up staying here because there was noire availability at the host hotel. It was a very nice stay. It is a boutique styled hotel, meaning no gym, Resturant or other things like that but the great staff who were Very friendly and accommodating made up for it. Great location, close to neighborhood...

My partner and I stayed at the Chandler Inn on 7/5-6. Overall the place was great and served our travel needs very well. Room - we like the upgrade! The new modern finishes are fun and overall the room was very functional despite being a bit compact. Location - the South End neighborhood is fantastic. It's a nice calm getaway...

The Chandler Inn is a lovely boutique hotel in the Boston’s South End neighborhood. We spent five busy days here exploring Boston. As all of the other reviewers mentioned, the rooms are small. Yes, they are, but do you know how the residents of Boston live? Small. It’s an old city. Space is a luxury. The rooms are nicely decorated,...

I stayed here overnight on layover in Boston. The room was small but very well appointed, clean, modern, in a residential part of the city. Easy walk to the T, back bay station. Would have loved to stay longer.

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
