adequate hotel in a very good location, within walking distant of the center. The room was clean and spacious but the noise of doors slamming and hearing people chatter in the corridors meant for disturbed nights

Nicely centered around good restaurants, the Boston Symphony and Fenway Park. Easy parking, helpful and friendly staff. Laundry 2 blocks away. No eating establishments in the hotel, but lots close by.

The staff were welcoming, rooms very large, clean, and comfortable, and the location is so convenient. An incredible value and a hotel to which I would return and recommend to others visiting the area.

My wife and I ended a five night break in New with a three night break in Boston. Boston is a great city to visit full of interesting museums, galleries and historical walks. At night it is buzzing with great restaurants and music venues. After careful studying we chose to book the Midtown Hotel. I cannot fault this hotel, the...

I want to start with the positives because the main issue with this hotel is that it is incredibly overpriced for what it is - one of the oldest hotels in Boston apparently. However, the room was very large, and very clean and the staff were extremely professional and friendly. The location is good for walking to the Fine Arts...

The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff is super nice. They offer us an early check-in without us even asked for it. The room we stayed was comfy, but we had some problems. First, the toilet kept flushing without anyone using it. Then, the shower was kind of flooding. The staff was quickly to help us, though....

Quite happy with this reasonably priced hotel. Good and friendly service, clean and very well located. The hotel is becoming old, the rooms a bit "experienced" but spacious, clean and neat - at least ours. Our room faced the busy street so we could hear the traffic which was loud - I would bring earplugs next time.

For Boston, where hotel accommodation is rather pricey, rates at the Midtown are "moderate". Being adjacent to the campus of Northeastern University, it is an easy five minute walk to eating places and food shopping, as well as to the Boston Symphony. Three subway stations are within 400 yards and Copley Place another 400 yards. Taking the Orange Line subway,...

This is only a two star Hotel but the cost for this Hotel I think is a little high, one problem is if you leave the lobby for your room you must climb stairs not easy if you have luggage. One day when I return to my room I found it was not cleaned nor towels nor bed made.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
