We stayed here for 4 nights for a sight seeing trip to Boston. The location is great and really easy to walk to everywhere from here. Initially when we checked in we found the lady on reception rather miserable, she made no conversation with us and didn't point us where to go to get the lift. Our room was on...

Staff was excellent but The hotel is NOT a 4 star hotel. Everything is dated and showing wear. Also, weird experiences: First, I get to the last 2 bed room and it's a handicapped room that smelled funky (in probably 100 hotel stays, I've never asked to change rooms--I'm pretty easy) and the shower etc seemed from the 80's. I...

The greatness of Boston is the historic buildings! The Colonnade is one of them, especially with the restaurant exuding the magic charm. Great location for a visit to Boston. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are good size and the bed is great quality. We had several business meetings, with 20 to 40 people attending, which worked well....

My room was small and nothing special. The cost? $512 per night. Soundproofing was horrible and I could hear every conversation of people walking by in the hallway clearly, could hear music from a room across the hall two doors down with both doors closed and could even hear my neighbor going to the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was expensive ($20)...

I recently visited the colonnade for three days for a business trip. During my visit my computer malfunctioned and I required a hard wire cable. The engineering department went above and beyond and was able to provide me with a hard line cable and I was able to have my Helpdesk dial-in and straighten out my computer issue. Needless to...

We stayed here for a few nights in March. Unfortunately it was so cold and snowing, we didn't have a lot of opportunity to explore our first time in Boston, but this hotel was in a really great location. The hotel itself was nice, as was our room, and the staff was friendly upon check-in. The problem we ran into...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
