Stayed 2 nights with my fiancé at the Colannade last week (march 2013). We had a wonderful stay and had great service from the moment we checked in! Ben at the front desk was great and gave us great recommendations for local restaurants! Our room could not have been better. Very spacious room with super comfortable bed and best pillows...

Wow!!!! We stayed 6 nights at the Colonnade for the World Championships in Irish dance. Mr. Norman was the best! We arrived early and our room was not ready. He suggested a perfect place for lunch for me and my daughter. Everytime we entered or left the hotel, the door was held opened and we were greeted by name. We...

Excellent centrally located hotel; global european atmosphere. Have stayed here several times and always find the staff friendly, helpful, and dedicated to making the stay effortless. Rooms are very well appointed with comforting currently styled furnishings and always, everything works like a well tuned machine. Brasserie Jo is an excellent French bistro/cafe style restaurant/ bar and a place to enjoy...

It is an absolute pleasure to stay at the Collonade. We have visited Boston many times for vacations and, this past year, for college visits. Jill in reservations is wonderful. Always patient and kind with our many requests. And, the professionalism doesn't stop with reservations. It is apparent from the moment you arrive. From the initial greeting and help by...

We have stayed at the Colonnade many times and it never disappoints. Staff is very professional and accommodating and the location for our purposes (this time a performance at Boston Symphony Hall - a short walk) is perfect. The fact that the hotel not only accepts dogs but also caters to them with beds, bowls, pet walkers, etc. is a...

My husband and I chose to go to Boston to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary and stayed at the Colonnade, and what a place to stay! Everyone was so friendly from the moment we stepped out of the shuttle bus to the minute we stepped back in to return home. We were greeted at reception by the fabulous Juliana, who...

This place was in a very convenient and clean location. Service was awesome! I wish the prices were a bit lower, but that is the only negative. Everything about this place is perfect. Trust me! You are in walking distance to so many attractions, including Prudential right across the street and the awesome Cheesecake Factory and 1 block from Copley....

This was my second stay at the Colonnade. The first time was on a family vacation several years ago when we chose the hotel for the roof-top pool as we were travelling over a very hot July 4th weekend. We had a wonderful stay then, so when I saw the Colonnade listed on the Northeastern University website as one of...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
