A long way out of town, but near a bus route. Restaurant within a couple of hundred yards. Very old fashioned, very sparse breakfast, and bathroom at end of corridor. Clincher was that in our bedroom and bathroom, thick dust was everywhere in nooks and crannies, , no Mrs Mop in Grim Avenue,,, And its really dear for what it...

I've never tried a bed and breakfast before and I didn't know what to expect---this place was really nice! Lovely historic home furnished so comfy. Carole was awesome! She had awesome suggestions on places to eat and visit. She's super friendly and sweet. Breakfast both days was good and different---healthy too, with fruit both times! Close to do many things...

Having to make a last minute trip to the area, and not finding much else in our price range, we decided to stay at this B & B. Since staying there and now looking at reviews for this location in the "average, poor and terrible" categories I say thank you to those brave souls who told what I now agree...

We stayed in the Rose Room at Carole's B&B. The house was built in 1904 for the mayor of San Diego. It has an interesting history and lots of old photos and books to peruse. Although our room was small, it was comfortable and had a small little deck overlooking the pool. the bathroom is fairly small and you can...

When you stay at Carole's Bed and Breakfast, you aren't staying at a family-run "establishment" you are actually staying in the family's home. Family photos and memorabilia fill the main rooms. Carole, the owner, and her son Mike, live on site and are happy to answer questions and provide assistance.. The building is an old Victorian style house built in...

Nestled in a lovely residential neighborhood Carole ' s B&B is a delightful gem. The prices are very reasonable and Carole is a knowledgeable and gracious hostess, who having lived in the neighborhood for over 25 years, is able to give you a true insider's information on just about everything. So easy to catch a bus downtown or walk to...

I stayed with Carole twice in the last two weeks, on my way to Mexico and again on my way home. Her BnB is comfortable and priced right. It's in a great neighborhood for walking. The craftsman architecture of her home and the neighborhood is interesting and the spring flowers are lovely. Excellent breakfast and Carole is a sweetheart. I...

I chose for price and bed-and-breakfast comfort and location near Balboa Park and North Park. Bonus, we found that it is less than 100 steps from Methodist church that is site of several times a month contra dance (like square dance but easier, and we enjoyed). 1904 bungalow with some of the built-in cabinetry and artsy windows typical of American...

Driving through the the neighborhood, my husband and I remarked at how quiet it was. It wasn't far from interstate and the neighborhood was centrally located, with easy access to interstates. North Park has many restaurants and with other things to do. Balboa Park (San Diego Zoo, and many museums) and downtown San Diego are 10 minute Uber drive from...
