Ann made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. We had room (Balboa) in the cottage which was nicely decorated and the bathroom was very clean. Plenty of room for the two of us. Had minor problem with water 1st day, but Ann resolved immediately to our satisfaction. Breakfast was excellent. Nice selection with plenty of fresh...

The Guesthouse is within easy reach of the airport, old town, gaslamps quarter & Balboa park & basically anywhere else you would want to get to. It is a short stroll from the regular bus service & the taxi fares to & from the B&B are very reasonable. Hillcrest is a great area with lots of shops, cafes & restaurants especially...

Charming little B&B, well located near Balboa Park where we were visiting Museum & Okd Globe Theatre. Our room had very cool and quiet little patio perfect for a cocktail or reading. Owner very accomodating and helpful.

Emma and I stayed in the Balboa Room for five nights and loved the atmosphere, hospitality, and tasty Continental Breakfast. Starting our days with Ann's keen advice about touring San Diego on foot and by bus really helped. She's a guru about everything San Diego and hit a home run on every suggestion -- from restaurants to beaches to taking...

We can only concur with previous reviews that the Hillcrest House B&B and Ann are great and can be well recommended. Location is perfect in the "middle" of San Diego and close to Balboa Park. The Hillcrest area is great for restaurants which can be reached within only a couple of minutes from Hillcrest House. Ann prepared a superb breakfast,...

Exact words can not describe the wonderful experience my partner and I had @ Ann's B&B. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by Ann and her adorable yorkie, Callie who struck a cord w/ us since we have a yorkie back home. Ann's hospitality and cozy home were extremely appreciated and is still missed. The location of...

We stayed for 3 nights and everything was absolutely perfect. Our room was the Balboa and is the smallest room, however, it was perfect for 2 people, with a nice closet and good sized bathroom. The Balboa is in a separate cottage and the privacy was great. Our hostess and inn owner Ann was wonderful, gave us great restaurant recommendations...

Myself, and two other buddies, stayed at Hillcrest House, and had a great time. We stayed in the rooms in the Cottage, and it felt like we had our own little house to relax in. The place was immaculate, and parking was plentiful. The house is almost 100 years old, and the rooms were not large, but were comfortable, and...

What a lovely time we had at Hillcrest House. I met my mother there (we are both in different cities) for a girls weekend and the setting was just perfect. Gracious service by our lovely hostess Anne was one of the things that makes this place stand head and shoulders above the rest. Delicious breakfast, a great selection on dvds,...
