The rooms were decorated nicely. They have a fairly good pool area. We booked a tour through the hotel and the trolley picked us up in front of the hotel. The Kings Inn has a lovely breakfast restaurant too! My only concern is that our room was not very sound proof (ground floor, near the pool). Other than that, the...

I like the throw-back 50's styling. Everything is clean and in good condition, despite the 50-year-old look. Pool and spa looked good -- didn't have time to try. Waffle Spot is excellent breakfast choice, and the Mexican restaurant and grill, Amigo Spot serves good, simple food and honest drinks. The staff is uniformly friendly and helpful. The location is convenient...

My Wife and I stayed at the Kings Inn because it was close to the game (and good priced). The staff was excellent! They helped us with our travel plans on how to get to the game. They are so friendly and always made you feel welcomed. We had no problems with our bed. It was super comfortable. The pool...

Sadly, it looks like we won't be hosting any NFL games at Qualcomm Stadium in the foreseeable future. We are glad you and your wife had the opportunity to visit during what turned out to be a great season for the Chiefs. Thank you for sharing your review.

A lovely place not that far from everywhere. We either drove or caught an uber and down town was only 10 minutes away. The hotel is good nothing fancy but a big sized room all very clean comfortable. The staff are lovely too! And, there is a Waffle House attached to the hotel, what more do you want.

Kings Inn is truly reminiscent of the classic highway motor lodge where families rested after long roadtrips during the 40's, 50's and 60's. We are glad you enjoyed our nostalgic charm and friendly staff. Thank you for choosing our hotel and for sharing your review.

We stayed here for 2 nights and used it as our base to visit San Diego Zoo. We have stayed here several times before, and were pleased to see the results of the recent refurbishment. The room we had was on the ground floor, facing the car park and a few steps from the swimming pool. The rooms are now...

We had excellent rooms for a very reasonable price. The staff was very helpful - particularly Ana Cabrera who really helped me out by patiently sorting out our charges to our purchasing cards - we were 12 people staying in 6 rooms all booked on one card but charged to different accounts. Our students loved the Waffle Spot - however,...

Kings Inn offers a great value for attendees for all major San Diego Conferences. Our location is perfect for getting to the meetings even when they are downtown because our overall savings more than makes up for transportation expenses. Our two on site restaurants also add value and convenience and we are glad your students especially enjoyed our Waffle Spot....

The pictures look better than reality. Rooms are old and needs new beds! It should be called a motel not hotel. Only a couple rooms are accessible from main lobby. The majority of the rooms are only accessible outside. Parking was a nightmare to try to get close to room. For the price was not impressed!

Sometimes, as a hotel we just have to shrug off the occasional review. Usually, even the harshest comments offer at least some constructive criticism. Cautiously, we would argue that your review provides none. Kings Inn is nearly 60 years old and we take pride in our age and mid-century appeal. In the past three years we have invested in a...

The room was vary nice they had upgraded us to the suite. Which had a king bed, couch and two fridges,a Mini sink and a privet balcony. The parking is easy to access and the noise is not too bad it is close to the highway but it's is drowned out in the rooms. It was Vary clean and the...

Fine room, great spaces, lots of parking-- real gem though is Sir Waffelot at the Waffle Spot restaurant, their mascot. Wife and I had a very nice stay and look forward to next time. The Amigo Spot-- Mexican restaurant-- was very nice too.

Sir Wafflelot, our Waffle King, truly does rule at Kings Inn and the Waffle Spot. He is here every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 1pm. We are glad he made such an awesome impression. Thanks for choosing Kings Inn and for telling future guests about us.

Good value! The room we had was small for 4 adults. Bathroom area very small. Considering we didn't spend much time there other than sleep, it was a good value. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly!

When Kings In was originally designed in the late 1950's, the anticipated needs for guests in a hotel rooms were more focused on the essentials. The essentials have changed over the past 50 years and we have done well to add conveniences like refrigerators and safes, free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV's and even USB charging ports built into the nightstands...
