This is my third time staying at Mill House Lodge. If you are accustomed to Hilton or Hyatt's then just know this place makes up for the high end accommodations with cozy, palatial rooms equipped with a mini kitchen and comfortable beds. The cottages have front porches to enjoy the lake and beautiful landscape. Last summer I took one of...

My friend and I stayed here on our way to Asheville. The foo was spacious and comfortable, with thick towels in the bathroom. It's 10 minutes from downtown Hendersonville, with a wealth of restaurants and shopping. The staff could not have been nicer.

Peaceful quiet and a trip back to many of our childhoods. The rustic 50’s look is somehow peaceful, quieting and refreshingly different from the cookie cutter hotels found at every highway interchange. This not a generation X stop, although they might find inner peace here, and Wi-Fi is available. The view of the lake, trees, and mountains is not to...

I normally stay in hotels when I work in Hendersonville. I decided to try the lodge out instead. This is not the place for the single traveler. Probably best for families or group of friends looking to enjoy the surrounding area or looking for an inexpensive place to hang out. It was clean. There is plenty of space for a...

We just returned from a great stay at the Mill House Lodge. We chose the Lodge because we were traveling with our 10 year old granddaughter and wanted to stay at a place where she could have fun. The lake setting is lovely. You are not permitted to swim in the lake but they have a very nice pool. Grills...

This was perfect. We only stayed a couple nights, but we made the best of it. We had lunch by the lake, took a canoe out on the lake, and went hiking at the nearby Dupont State Forest. Overall, our room was a good size, clean, and had everything we needed.

Having grown up and lived in this area for 31 years, for the first time due to aging parents, we needed a place to stay while visiting our families. The Mill House Lodge was the perfect location for us. It was a nice place to wake up and return to in the evenings while there. I loved the rocking chairs...

Thanks for choosing us. We like letting people know that we are a home away from home when visiting family. Glad you had a serene time and were able to use the boats and go fishing!

This out of the way place is perfect to relax and unwind, but does off all modern connections to stay in touch! The best part is that it is pet friendly so the entire family can enjoy vacation. The water is calming and the staff is outstanding. We had a gift certificate, or we might not have visited and would...

We stayed two nights in this peaceful lodge. Close to the state parks of the Carolinas and the Smoky mountains. The spacious rooms were nice, with good self-catering facilities. We arrived after closing of the office (one hour earlier than the booking office had mentioned), but were able to get in our room without any problem. Definitely good value for...
