We had a very enjoyable 4 night stay. Room very clean, modern & smelt wonderful & fresh. Breakfast was included & was great - good range of fresh pastries, fruit, yoghurt & granola. The hotel is in a great position - walking distance to many major places to visit. Surrounded by some good bars & places to eat - though...

Perfect for a sight seeing trip. Excellent location, easy walk to Times Square, Grand Central and Central Park. Breakfast was very good - fresh fruit, pastries, bagels served in a lounge type area rather than a restaurant. Our room was a good size, clean, comfortable bed. Only negative would be our bathroom was very small, felt a little claustrophobic and...

Booked this hotel last minute for Presidents day weekend. Front office staff were very nice at check in. Hotel rooms were decent sized for midtown NYC. Decor and condition of property very well kept for an older building. Only draw back was on lift was out of service which caused some longer than usual waits for the lift. Nothing a...

We stayed there July 2016, it was the first stop in our honeymoon... the hotel is good, it is on the center of NYC and also includes breakfast. It was our honeymoon and they didn't do anything for us, for example put in our room one detail, or give us a congratulation, a better room... anything!

Recommended for couples and families who want both service, a bit of space and comfort in the room and great central location! Great advantage of the MORGANs is the size of the room. At list the suite is very big though it only accommodates 3 people. However you can fit 3 in the gigantic king size bed and you can...

A little tired, but excellent value if you can get a deal (not sure I would pay rack rate for the hotel). Centrally located, and the staff are supreme. Very helpful and friendly. Free Voss water in the rooms! Great premium size Malin & Goetz amenities. Would prefer if there was not carpet everywhere on ground floor and the elevators,...

My wife and I have stayed at Morgans three times now, and have been happy each time. A few comments, partially in response to other comments: * The staff is uniformly friendly and helpful. For example, we had some ice delivered to our room and it arrived in less than 5 minutes. * The breakfast is great---- available in the...

I've stayed here many times and always enjoy the hotel, the breakfast, the window seat in the room, a comfortable bed, and the quiet location on Madison Ave/ Gramercy Park. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The Breakfast Room has a pleasant library atmosphere that is a nice relaxing place/ bar for a drink later in the day. My...

We booked Morgans Hotel as it had been recommended and seemed good value. We were on business but found time for some sightseeing in down time. Great location as it was not too far to anywhere in Manhattan. Very close to Grand Central, which was useful. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom very small, but did not present...

Dear tam682, Thank you for the very kind words about your recent stay with Morgans Hotel. We have to agree with you that our hotel creates a perfect balance for a good sleep for busy professionals and centrally located with many important landmarks for a relaxing stroll. We do appreciate the feedback about our breakfast of American Continental and will...

I think this was once an excellent boutique hotel but it is getting run down (probably the reason for the special rate we got). Staff are helpful. Location very good for the touristy things in town. Found it difficult to find value for. Only restaurant with good, fresh healthy food in the area. Mostly it is lunch for the office...

Dear E M, Thank you for your recent review of Morgans Hotel. We feel sad that you felt disappointed and felt that we were run down. It is a shame that no specific information was mentioned since we are continuously doing major renovations throughout the building inside and outside. As of right now there is no area which we have...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
From the moment it opened its doors on Madison Avenue in New York City, Morgans startled the world with a convention-shattering attitude and distinctive design sensibility, concocted by legendary designer Andree Putman. Again in 2008, Morgans unveiled Andree Putman's powerful reinterpretation of the first "boutique hotel" that propels Morgans' spirit forward without changing its unique character. Other features include a state of the art fitness center. Conveniently located in midtown Manhattan, Morgans is just steps to Grand Central Station, Macy's Herald Square, and The Morgan Library Museum. Morgans offers complimentary Continental breakfast and wireless internet access to every hotel guest. ... more   less
