As you can see in other reviews there is no lift, no ameneties, it is very basic. But it is one of the cheapest hotels in manhattan and it’s in a great location. Staff are friendly. Paying to hold luggage seems a little silly but nothing to complain about. Nicely decorated and

My 14 yr old son and I visited New York and stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. The staff were just fantastic and when we mentioned that our TV wasn't working it was checked straight away. It couldn't be fixedone so we were given a room upgrade to a deluxe. Rooms were clean, no

I left there with quite a few bedbug bites and ended up having to be examined by a dermatologist to figure out what these dots are. This is a very old hotel and poorly maintained. It has no elevators and offers very basic services. The sheets looked clean, but that's just

Good Morning, Thank you for your comments. The hotel is inspected and maintained by an outside licensed pest control company. Additionally our staff is trained under NYC Health Department standard. Please contact the hotel directly to further discuss. Outside of your review, I am not aware of any complaints, comments or concerns regarding bed bugs. We will fully investigate this claim once we know when you stayed and what room you stayed in. While ALL hotels (big, small, old, new, budget and 5 star) in NYC have had experience with Bed Bugs, we do all we can to prevent and investigate all claims with our exterminating company. Additionally, bed bugs have been found on the NYC subway, busses, airplanes, movie theaters and other public places. We take these claims very serious and once we hear back from you to find out what room you were in, dates or stay, etc... we can then do a full investigation.

I’m accustomed to an elevator, but having only a carry-on bag, I was able to ascend the stairs to the reception desk and to my room. Reviews alerted me to the unique decor and accommodations, so I wasn’t disappointed. When I entered my room and got oriented, it turned out be

We stayed about a week in this hotel. When you arrive later in the evening after a long flight you do not expect to carry your luggage three floors up by using a tiny and tiny narrow stairway inside the building. This is quite challenging and requires good physical shape. you

You "could" walk, but it will take about 40-50 minutes. The hotel is at 103rd St. Times Square starts at 46th St. So that is about a 3 mile (7km) hike. You could walk through Central Park or just down Broadway. And just FYI, there are 20 street blocks in a mile and 6 avenue blocks to a mile in Manhattan.

Read my review. Try Broadway Bagel Co, and Metro Diner. Both a short walk, and good for Breakfast. Locals eat there, so you can rest assured it is value for money. Pancakes at the Metro are huge!!!!. One portion is enough for two.

Very easy, there's an information desk for ground transportation in every terminal, just give the the address of the place you want to go. Transport back can be arranged at the hotel desk. But I don't bother with either, I just take the air train to the Long Island Railroad which takes me straight into the city at 34th Street, where I can transfer to the 1 Train which takes me to 103rd Street.
