It's only a few blocks away from 42nd street, it's almost adjacent to Harold square and there is lots to do in the area as its between Broadway and the many fancy shopping stores on Madison. But you also get some additional...

I selected the Hampton Inn near the Empire State Building because of the location and stayed 10 nights. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. My time there met my expectations in every way. I would not hesitate to stay at this and other Hampton Inns again.

A front desk staff that goes beyond the usual standard welcome and help... they make sure that your needs are met... I have never ever experienced such service with a big smile and goal to serve. A job well done and done beyond the ordinary. Thanks for making me feel home away from home.

We stayed at this hotel over Memorial Day weekend. It was a fantastic stay. Check in was a breeze. The staff was nice and friendly. The room was very clean and we had a great view of the Empire State building. The room was a bit small though, but what do you expect in NYC. I will say that the...

Just returned from a week stay in this hotel, staff were very helpful, ended up like friends. Clayton and Rosa made us very welcome, and made my birthday very special. Breakfast served on a morning, was ok to start the day off, tea, coffee, hot chocolate available anytime. Would highly recommend a stay here.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this Hampton Inn. It was a perfect match for our visit to Manhattan, with a great location, friendly and attentive staff, and a great value. On our next visit to New York we will definitely attempt at this location again.

This the fist time I have given 5 starts to a chain hotel. I am never quite sure if I should be rating hotels within their class or as a whole, but I do want to express my unexpected pleasure with my stay. We stayed here because our usual hotels near Penn Station were too expensive for the days we...

Hotel was priced right, in a great location to easily access Bryant Park, Rockefeller Center, Sak's, Macy's etc for the holiday season. Hotel staff were LOVELY, the room was clean, although small, but then again we were only there to sleep. We would stay here again and again!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
