Great for a cocktail or two.. good atmosphere with the most amazing views of Manhattan and New Jersey. Tad on the pretentious side, but to be expected. Amazing decor and cocktails, would definitely recommend. Head up the stairs outside to get a really great view.....More
I have stayed at the Downtown L.A. location and figured I would try out the Highline while I was in town for leisure.

Thanks to Melinda(high line) and Paige(east village) for the warm greetings during my many stays at the Standard. I find this hotel to be the perfect hotel for my needs: nice views, cool vibe, no shower curtains, mid-century decor, and pleasant walk to my business...More
Hotel is very sleek and "hip." Maybe a little too hip, if you're over age 25 and looking for a space to enjoy the hotel. Our rooms view was very sad and only had an interior view of construction. We were told we could move...More

Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you
stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
