We stayed at The Gracie Inn on the upper east side of NYC in late December. The place reminds me of an old hotel out of Europe, but clean. Very cute. The proprietor was very friendly and sweet - like a Bed and Breakfast should...More
Two couples wanted a comfortable place, not fancy, while we visited New York City. The hotel advertised breakfast with the room, free WI-Fi (which was important to one of us) and we requested a two bedroom. We were given what was described as the penthouse...More
We have stayed several times at the Gracie for its excellent location near our son at NY Presbyterian hospital. Lots of good neighborhood restaurants, thrift stores, etc; Always enjoyed the old style ambience, but this time noticed many upgraded features. The new management and staff...More
Gracie Inn is clean, convenient and safe. My husband and I have stayed there whenever we visit our grandchildren. The new owners are very helpful and accommodating and have made many improvements. I enjoy all the parks and restaurants in the neighborhood.

Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the
neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
