Super friendly staff, great location, the breakfast is def. a plus !! i'm sure i'll be staying with them when i'm back in NY. Staff helped us with everything we needed, from directions, tips, cabs .. you name it. The location is walking distance from shops, restaurants, high line, whitney museum ... just loved it.

Looking for a small hotel downtown that is a great value and well-located, with a terrific staff? Chelsea Pines is a great find. Rooms aren't fancy but are all freshly painted, neat, quiet, well-equipped (with even a small fridge), and decorated with fun (sometimes campy) 1950's movie posters. Location is perfect (14th St & 8th Ave, near two big subway...

Chelsea Pines was pleasantly surprising. The pictures online make the rooms look smaller than they actually are. We got a room with one queen bed and a private bathroom that had 2 sinks! It was very clean and we had no problems with our key card access to the room/building.Chelsea Pines had nice high ceilings and enough space to move...

I recommend Chelsea Pines Inn highly! Really cute funky room, good price and the staff really went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Nice location to go south or north in the city easily and even close to a subway station! I will stay there again.

Although the amenities rate is low, they have pretty good amenities (shampoo, hair brush, hair dryer etc.) It's at a good place right next to the subway. Quite sad it has no elevator, because I stayed on the fifth floor and the stairs were quite steep.

I booked a room at Chelsea Pines Inn based on other reviews and indeed the place is very good and not expensive by New York standards. The breakfast is good (significantly better than the continental breakfast I get at California hotels at same price point). The personnel is friendly and helpful and the whole place has a cozy/friendly vibe. The...

So yes, the place has changed ownership, and a few things have changed. But has it turned into a mediocre or bad place? No! Some things have changed, such as a bit less choice at breakfast, and I missed a few of the old staff. Yet...I will continue to stay here. Why? Chelsea Pines Inn has kept its character, and...

I stayed at the Chelsea Pines Inn for 4 nights in December. I was excited to finally score a reservation after all of the glowing reviews I'd read on Tripadvisor. Location: The location is awesome. So close to Meatpacking restaurants, Chelsea shops, food, galleries, the High Line, subways. Super convenient if this is where you want to hang out. Inn:...

We (my 20 YO daughter and I) were welcomed by Shawn who is a true professional. A quick intro and we were shown to our cosy room. The welcome card and choccy's were a nice touch, we immediately knew we had made the right decision to stay at Chelsea Pines. Chelsea itself has a lot to offer but our proximity...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
