I had an issue with my reservation - the W Downtown was inflexible, demeaning, uncooperative and lacked professionalism. I would never recommend staying at this hotel because if you have an issue, the current team at the hotel will not assist you in resolving it.

Starwood/Marriott platinum member so got a nice corner king room on the 15th floor for a two night stay. Hotel is hip, modern, geared towards young professionals. Pros: Very quiet - didn't hear any other guests during our stay. Really nice shower. Really comfortable bed. Ability to control the HVAC to make sure it stays on and doesn't cycle noisily...

This hotel is an experience! I know the W brand is sophisticated and irreverent at the same time, but are all W's like this? The lobby is on the 5th floor and resembles a night club. Check-in was a breeze and was strictly transactional - no emotion from the front desk attendant. "Welcome. You're on the 10th floor. Here are...

We checked-in Wednesday for one night and the experience was very disappointing. When I called in the morning to ask for a room ready before 3pm. the Guest operator, Jesse, was very accommodating and profesional, but once at the Front Desk at 11:30am, the agent was rude and not welcoming at all. The room was not ready, yet he was...

Unfriendly staff and dirty linen! Charged twice for drinks in the lounge! Location is difficult if you plan on seeing shows! On the upside lovely view of the 911 memorial! Not great unless you are interested in seeing that or Wall Street!

This hotel was a very modern and in a great location to visit ground zero... literally out the front door! The rooms were nice, but in need of a little TLC, thus the 4 stars and not 5. The Concierge and front desk were extremely friendly and helpful during our visit. I would return again.

This was a very typical W experience - modern finishings, small rooms, lively bar scene. I was very happy with my room and the amenities, no complaints at all. This was just a brief overnight stay, and I picked this hotel primarily based upon location and proximity to my NY office. I wouldn't call the W a luxury hotel, but...
