This is the ultimate combination of a boutique property offering high end amenities and service equivalent of those at a four seasons. Comfortable, spacious rooms, and a lively bar and restaurant. Superior location. Can't wait to go back.
Staff was generally unhelpful. Doormen frequently did not open doors, did not greet guests. Staff not as friendly or consistent as would be expecteded, with some exceptions. Room interior design met expectations but functionally had serious issues. For example, toilets installed too high for proper...More
It was our first stay in a Firmdale property and we were very impressed. The property itself is lovely and very well thought out. The bar off the lobby was always busy but never too busy we couldn't get a drink at it - and...More
Tempting to deliver an essay on the robe alone, but will leave it to you to discover this joy for yourself.
Every aspect of our stay at the Crosby Street Hotel provided a truly dreamy experience: affable and helpful doormen, location (along the very best...More
The room we had was large, airy and light. Twice the size of what you normally get for NYC, the big window looking out onto the kitchen garden and the outside terrace was great. The decor and art work are very fussy, which I didn't...More

Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to

explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.

Hi,
lovely outdoor space that is well lite for the evening,at the back of the hotel, so off the street. Antique Garage, a five minute walk away, has a fab outdoor space with live music. Check it out to for even just a coffee. my favourite is late afternoon snack with a glass of bubbles.
also just a few minutes away is NoMo Soho> this has quite a large outdoor patio. Younger crowd and sometimes a tad loud. I do however plan to stay there when I take my young adult kids to NY. hope this helps.

Some of the rooms have a sofa beds and if necessary they will swap out a sofa for a day bed. I have 3 kids so we book 2 rooms and they share one room together. If you can get the corner rooms they have a sofa bed. Just call them, they are very helpful with all kinds of request. It is the main reason why we stay there and we have stayed at most of the high-end hotels there over the course of 20 years.
