Neighbourhood
Nolita
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighbourhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.

Beautiful room/ great design. Was not sure what to expect but were very pleased with our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was a bit concerned over the noise since it is in the middle of downtown, but had no issues sleeping. No complaints whatsoever.

"We stayed on 5th floor and that was pretty quiet. Try to stay on upper floors--views should be better up there."
"Higher floors less noise. or rooms not facing Kenmare street if you're a light sleeper."
"It seems the upper rooms have a definite advantage against the unavoidable street noise on Kenmare St. Not totally quiet, but not too noisy."
"Definitely try to get a room that isn't on the road side - a bit noisy at night."
"Top floors will have better views."
