This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Perfect location. A short walk to everything while being in a relatively quiet area. Very clean and well appointed rooms with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Perk: each floor has a purified water station with clean, empty water bottles to fill and take. Not only is it

The Jewel Hotel is a great boutique style hotel in the middle of all the action of Rockefeller Center. I highly recommend this property. The suite we had was not huge but very comfortable for 3 of us. Two baths and a small galley area were very convenient. And a flat screen tv

I loved my stay here at the Jewel. I got a an amazing price of $263 for two nights, and to top it off my room had a beautiful terrace. Overall I would definitely stay here again next time I am in the city.

I wish I knew about this place sooner. It took about 2 minutes to check in, and it would have been quicker had I used their app. The room was much larger than most midtown hotel rooms, especially at that price point. The gym was very small, but I was the only one using it so it

Most bathrooms in America have plugs in them, especially when you stay at nice hotels. You can purchase plug adapters to use here, I have found that it's hard on your hair dryer that you bring from another country, and it takes up a lot of room in your luggage. If you find out that you don't like the hair dryer in your hotel room at the Jewel, there is a convenience store (Duane Reade) just a few doors away on the same street. For about $25 -- the cost of a drink or two -- you can purchase a hair dryer to use while you're here.

My friend and I stayed at The Jewel earlier this year in a small queen room with balcony over looking the rocker fella centre and it was fabulous. There was more than enough room for us both, and the bed was two three foots pushed together. We had a coffee/tea maker which was stocked up every day, which is not offered in every hotel. The deli shop for breakfast and Jimmys burger bar across the road supplied wonderful food too. The hotel is in a great location and we found it very quiet at night. Not sure what is offered in the deluxe room or how big it will be but if you ring the hotel direct they are very helpful. X

Does the 2 bedroom. Suite have a living area?
No, the room does not have a living area. We had a queen sized bed, a desk and a wardrobe. We spent most of our time exploring the city so it was fine. The room was very clean, the staff quite pleasant and helpful. We chose the hotel because of it being a block away from Rockefeller Center, which is a quieter alternative to the craziness of Times Square but still in walking distance.

Can you see the Christmas tree from rooms?
There are only certain corner rooms with a view of the plaza and you can't really see the tree, but you can see many of the decorations as well as the Today Show when they come out on the plaza. From the corner view rooms, you can see Radio City Music Hall. I saw them bringing in the camels for the Christmas Show from our room.

There is a bakery a block across from the Hotel through Rockafella Center where the ice skating rink is. Not sure if they serve a convential breakfast since we usually got a muffin. Also across the street from the Jewel there is a restaurant called Bill's Bar and Burgers. This place was great. We ate there several times. Hope this helps.
