Thank you so much to all the staff at Hotel Americano for our wonderful stay. We were treated so well from the time we walked in the door to check in with David. We were getting married on the highline the afternoon of check in and our room was ready when we got there. The hotel is very sleek and...

What a wonderful occasion and we should be thanking you for sharing such a special time with us. This feedback is wonderful and we can assure you that your mentions will be brought to attention to each individual. We are so happy the team made note to all of the special touches to enhance your wedding celebration. We can only...

Tucked away on a side street in Chelsea it was hard to know what to expect. What a pleasant surprise! Staff were friendly, room was clean and very comfortable and spacious. The decor is minimalistic and very chic. Room included a wardrobe and a minibar (these are luxuries that are hard to come by in NY hotels). None of the...

We appreciate the time you have taken to provide feedback and your understanding about the temporary noise we experience during weekday business hours. It is New York, we are in a booming neighborhood, and it is something that we have little control over. Thankfully the city has been kind enough to be mindful about the hours of construction. Chelsea was...

I stayed there over eastern for a business trip and can only recommend the trip. The hotel is located at the vibrant high line surrounded by lots of galleries. All tough cabs are not passing all the time in front of the hotel, the friendly staff is helping you to grab one. The property it self is of minimalistic style...

Nice idea, badly executed - The Americano is nicely designed, sort of industrial chic with small, minimal rooms. The problem is the staff - they are not trained properly. The hotel also features a roof-top bar/restaurant and you get the feeling that is far more of a cash cow then the rooms, so hotel guests are treated as second-class citizens....

Thank you for your feedback. We must admit we were rather surprised by some of the things you mentioned. If one looks through our reviews, one thing that remains consistent is our friendly and very accommodating guest. In fact, this is something we pride ourselves on and a big reason why people return. We apologize that you had a bad...

Check in was very friendly. I (and my little overnight bag) was told I needed accompanying to my ‘Uptown Queen’ room because “the electronics needed explaining.” The electrics were not that complicated – you have to put the fob on your key into a socket to turn on the power. What *was* complicated was figuring out why in a hotel...

Thank you for taking a moment to let new guests know about your stay. Although we always love to hear about the friendliness of the staff, we also care very much about the comfort of our guests. Unfortunately our design is one that is not for everyone from the hip platform beds, to the sexy peek a boo bathroom walls,...

My husband and I got married in New York (at the Hudson Hotel) 6 years ago and returned to NYC to celebrate this month. We'd never stayed in Chelsea before and had heard great things about the area so decided to base ourselves there. We picked Hotel Americano because it suits our style but what made this hotel so great...

First off we would like to say thank you so much for taking a chance and celebrating such a special occasion with us. Hearing about the staff being so understanding and thoughtful makes all of management very happy and we trust that they always have the good of our guests in mind. I don't know where to begin, I was so impressed with Hotel Americano. When we arrived, I loved the facade and the industrial, clean, contemporary feel. You walk in and the staff is so genuinely caring, you feel like they are old friends immediately. They were accomodating, helpful and showed us around, again, as an old friend would do. I...

Thank you so much for such a kind review. It is always a pleasure to hear how friendly our staff is to our guests from the moment they check in. The attention to detail you mentioned such as our Aesop products, denim robes, espresso at our lobby bar, and many more, are great things for new guests to read about...

Hotel very nice and in a great position, in chelsea, close to the high line. The room are big enough and the complimentary toiletries are of high level (aesop). Such lovely feedback! We thank you for taking the time to send this out. The lobby and the rooftop are the only places that the owners spent any money when renovating this building. Don't expect anything beyond that. We would like to thank you for taking the time to write your feedback on Trip Advisor. We were very surprised that you felt so strongly about the property. Location, design and service are outstanding (a little bit snobbish if anything, but hey it's Manhattan). Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
