I stayed at The Benjamin for three nights and enjoyed all aspects of the experience. The hotel has a boutique feel and the lobby a classic grandeur and warmth. My 14th floor room was extremely quiet and serene. The bed was wonderful and my room had a small enclave with refrigerator, microwave, sink, and coffee machine. There was a delightful...

We spent the last four nights at this old world hotel. We had a wonderful 1 bedroom suite for a very reasonable rate. The room was huge by NYC standards with a large living room, big bedroom, nice bathroom, and a separate area with a frig, sink and cabinets complete with dishes and utensils. The room had 2 flat screen...

We stayed here many years ago and decided to try it again. Our expectations were pretty high and they were met. Valet parking worked well, check in was smooth, our room was comfortable and large, the (new to us) restaurant was pleasing for a drink at the bar and two breakfasts. We will retrun.

Nice stay; very helpful Hotel Manager (Blond Woman w/accent; apologies forgot your name), but not your excellent customer relations. **The floors in the restaurant are very, very slippery: be careful. My opinion; a lawsuit waiting to happen. My mother and my daughter both slipped in there. The front desk, and bellman were very respectful, helpful, and polite to my whole...

Rooms are a typical size for NY hotel. Friendly service and a terrific location. My room was too hot, and there was a 'lock' on the thermostat which did not allow me to lower the temp (called front desk who confirmed only option was to totally turn off heat which was not good option in Jan). Shower had black mold,...

LOCATION This hotel is in the most perfect location. Right on top of the Subway, plus it's walkable to Central Park, 5th Ave, Saks, Bloomingdales and Times Square. It's SO easy to get around anywhere in NY from here. STAFF Special mention must go to Gina and Sarah on Concierge. They were both incredibly helpful and so friendly. Gina had...

Hard to not be pleased: super service-Merrill did our check in, super welcome feel from doormen, gracious dining at the National, the room is finished first class, AND the location is as convenient as any place in town-adjacent to the 51st and Lexington subway stop. Welcome home to this small boutique-style oasis.

I stayed at this hotel with my family during a busy Christmas week and was very happy with hotel and the service. The hotel is centrally located, clean, comfortable and the rooms are spacious. We also enjoyed our breakfast at the hotel restaurant before heading out for a busy day. Great value for NYC.

We stayed at the Benjamin over Thanksgiving (US) - I had booked a suite (one bedroom) and somehow the staff upgraded us to the Benjamin Suite for the last 3 nights (we stayed 4 nights) - I am now totally spoiled. It was an amazing stay. Very comfortable and very quiet. The Benjamin Suite has a large terrace and a...

We had a family suite - nicely decorated in a classic style. Two separate bedrooms, quiet, with nice views over the street. Easy location close to 5th Avenue. Friendly staff - one kind lady did my daughter's hair one morning. Great breakfast too!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
