The hotel has been totally refurbished. The chraming staff are very helful;we had a great stay. The roms are small, clean and excellent supply of hot water. Every floor has a small kitchen, delicious coffee pods and quality teas are free. The location is absolutely superb, just one block from the metro, cross-town 86th street buses, in particular to 'museum...

The Belnord is the best of the many rehabilitated single room occupancy hotels that once were common on the Upper West Side. It has been thoroughly renovated but the outlines of its former life are plainly visible: very narrow hallways, one elevator, and tiny rooms. But the rooms have been cleverly designed to pack a lot into a small space:...

The hotel staff did not manage to locate and keep safe for me my iPad charger during the 9 hours between my check out and the time I came back for it before leaving the city. I checked out at 8:45, when for a meeting, realized I left my charger behind, called the hotel, received assurances that everything will be...

Finding a double room under $200 in manhattan raises some concern, but the belnord had good reviews so I gave it a shot. I'm glad I did. Staff was so friendly and accommodating, rooms were impeccably clean and the updates were spectacular. Even had a filtered cold water dispenser right on the floor. Yes the room is small, but good...

I was there alone and I had a big surprise. Even if the room is pretty small, it's clean and nice. Shower is good and the staff are very friendly and willing to help you. Specially a young guy on the front desk that I forgot his name (Starts with T) is so attentive and kind...they help you with recommendations...

Our room was very small. You had to close the door to get around the foot board of the bed. Perfect location to walk to the park and subway. Hotel staff was friendly and rooms are clean. Had a cute drink on outside patio.

My sentiments reflect those of many prior posters. These rooms are small, probably starting at around 250 sq ft, with little space for hanging clothes. There are drawers in the closet and under the foot of the bed, and there's a safe. There is AC, which works very well, and surprisingly for an older building such as this, it's not...

The rooms are small, but very clean and updated. For such a low price, it was perfect for what we needed. We drove into the city and were able to get the discounted parking rate at a garage they are affiliated with. Staff was friendly and the location was walking distance to everything we needed.

Small unpretentious hotel with very small rooms and baths. Even the hallways are unusually narrow. The room was tidy although the TV was mounted on the wall near the ceiling. Staff was friendly. A decent value for a simple night's stay.

Basically it's all in there, rooms are small but nice and very clean. Staff is helpful until there is a problem. Location is great for the Upper West Side which basically has no regular hotels above 66th Street. Wifi is completely unpredictable. Worked great the first night (a Friday, used Netflix ). Worked fine Saturday afternoon (VPN to work network)...
