I’ve visited New York City often and I regret this was my first stay at this Boutique Hotel. It is truly a Diamond in a city that has a lot of Cubic Zirconia hotels.

The quality of service, friendliness of staff, and cleanliness of rooms would rate this hotel 5 out of 5 stars alone, however, bonus points are awarded to the concierge/staff of the hotel. Each team member went above and beyond to make you feel like a valued guest. Whether it was housekeeping, maintenance, or the front desk. In particular Bryan, Tony, and Scott were exceptionally professional and helpful.

The rooms are spacious and the King size bed was actually a King Size bed by American standards and not NYC standards (Queen)

With regards to location, you could not ask for a more convenient setting which places you only minutes from the heart of Times Square and within steps from the beautiful green space of Bryant Park.

I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and anyone who asks for hotel suggestions in NYC.

Hello Tre737, Thank you so very much for taking the time to review our hotel and for the very high 5 star rating. I will certainly pass along your wonderful comments to our staff who take great pride in their work. The Bryant Park Hotel is truly a special place here in the heart of midtown Manhattan and we really appreciate your business and you choosing us for your accommodations when you could have easily chosen somewhere else in the Big Apple. We look forward to welcoming you back next time. All the best to you, Phil Columbo, Asset & Managing Director

My wife and I were very happy with our stay at the Bryant Park Hotel in November 2021. We booked a Junior Suite and had amazing views from the 19th floor. The room was very large by Manhattan standards with a king sized bed, terrace and a large bathroom with separate bathtub and shower. The location is great -- walking distance from Broadway, the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center and other midtown attractions, but not too close to Times Square, which we wanted to avoid. It's particularly good to visit when the Bryant Park Winter Village is open.

We found the bed to be comfortable, however even on the 19th floor, there was a significant amount of outside noise until around midnight. There's also a lot of light from surrounding office buildings, so don't expect it to be too dark and quiet at night. It wasn't an issue for us (and they also provide a white noise machine), but keep that in mind if you're not a good sleeper.

I've seen several reviews mention the small dark elevators and while they're not huge, they really didn't make me anxious (and I don't love elevators). The onsite Japanese restaurant, Koi, is very good, but expensive. If you're looking for a more bargain priced meal, especially for breakfast or lunch, you should check out the Red Flame Diner on 44th street between 5th and 6th Ave.

There aren't a lot of amenities, but you don't come to Manhattan to stay in your hotel and the room was fairly priced considering the size and location. I'd definitely stay here again.

When we arrived in our room, there was a bad odor. When I called the front desk, they responded immediately and resolved it by upgrading our room, even though we were able to trace the source of the smell and remove it. They couldn't have been more gracious. They also helped me to plan for a 75th Birthday by getting flowers and champagne etc in the room, and they even left a little gift.
The bed was possibly the best ever from any hotel we've ever stayed in, including Four Seasons etc.
The only drawback to a good night's sleep was that the room darkening shades were not. There was plenty of ambient light that got through. The bathroom was large and the shower was glorious. The only drawback here is that for two people, there was not enough countertop space for toiletries.
I highly recommend this place, especially a room with a view of the park. Don't be surprise, though, by the music that drifts up from the park at night. I suggest a high floor.

Came to midtown for opera in Bryant Park 8/12, hotel is across the street from the park and easy walking distance to many places of interest but far enough away from Times Square to avoid the touristy types and associated urban denizens. Staff are super accommodating and cordial, rooms minimalist but with subtle flair.
Upgrading to a park view room is well worth the extra cost, especially if your lady ifs into flashing you at the southeast entrance!

Our Stay

My family and I (2 adults 2 children 1 and 5yo) recently visited the Bryant Park Hotel for a family wedding (July 2023).

The hotel's decor is a bit tired but the rooms were clean and the staff was exceptional! I spend 30+ nights a year in Ritz Carlton hotels and I will say the staff at the Bryant Park strives for the same level of customer care. We did not care for our first room but the staff was very accommodating and offered a reasonably priced upgrade fee to move into a larger room with wood flooring.

We upgraded our stay to a 1BR corner suite. The suite was filled with light and very clean. The overall decor and furnishings of the hotel are lacking but my understanding is that they have begun a complete refresh of the furnishings to be done later this year.

Location

The location is superb! Being right next to Bryant Park the hotel provides an oasis in a busy city. There are a number of nearby restaurants and we particularly like Peccora and The Bryant Park Grill.

The subway is also located just on the corner and there is an amply sized curb cut for transportation making it easy for Ubers or car services to wait and safe to get in and out of your vehicle.

Service

The staff was simply amazing! The front door was consistently held for our family and we were greeted by name and with a smile. Each day our house keeper Tadshi ensured we had fresh linens, a sparkling room and took extra care to change the bedding on our 1 year olds pack and play and ensure it was "just right."

The entire team went out of their way to make our stay great. Ronan made my daughters smile each time they walked in, Veronica and Shannen were there for all of our needs but the star of the show was Jo who did not rest until we had all of our needs met.

At each turn the staff looked for ways to improve our stay.

Services

The fitness center needs improvement and is awkwardly located across from a guest room making noise an issue. That said Bryant Park offers a wonderful setting for outdoor exercise and on the morning of our arrival had a group yoga event with hundreds of participants.

The morning coffee service was great and featured locally baked muffins and illy coffee. Throughout the day the team (I believe Keith or Kevin) updated the lobby table with fruit infused waters.

When it rained the staff had umbrellas ready which was unexpected but welcome.

The bar located in the basement is very cool and has a bohemian vibe. The cocktails were well composed, utilized the finest spirits and fresh ingredients.

We did not eat at Koi but several friends, there for the wedding, did and had good things to say.

Overall

The Bryant Park hotel is very fairly priced and provided calm on what could have been a stressful family weekend trip. I look forward to staying there again in the near future and experiencing the upgraded rooms.

We visited NYC for a broadway show and a weekend exploring the city in February. The Bryant Park Hotel is in a perfect location for walking to shows, great restaurants and all over the city. From the moment we arrived, everyone we dealt with at the hotel was friendly, service-oriented, professional, helpful, nice, fun. Our room wasn’t yet available and the front desk upgraded us to the Loft room which is simply spectacular in terms of space, layout and views. I will happily stay here on every visit to the city.

Excellent hotel and staff close to Times Square.
Our room was equipped with everything we needed plus garment bags, slippers, Robes, fabric travel bags etc. coffee was a quick hop down the elevator.
We had an amazing sushi restaurant and night club on site and we’re a 5 minute walk to Times Square. The staff were so polite and helpful and saved us $500 USD on our Covid tests by pointing us in the right direction to free same day tests to get back to Canada. I’d stay here again for my next NY trip.

The Bryant Park Hotel, is conveniently located near Times Square. What makes this place extraordinary is the level of service. Our first interaction was with the manager John and to say not only was he pleasant the weekend before a major holiday but he was also extremely resourceful in telling us exactly where we should go for our meals. The room was clean and tidy and spacious for being in the center of Manhattan. I recommend everything about this hotel. I will say it is a little bit more expensive than the average hotel however you get dividends received in the amount of service and just overall politeness and location of this particular staff and hotel. I’d highly recommend if you are coming to New York City that this is where you should stay.

Our trip to New York was extra special thanks to our stay at Bryant Park Hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and very accommodating to our requests.

Every morning we woke up to smiling faces and fresh muffins near the lobby. Our room faced the park with breathtaking views from every window.

We loved how prepared the property was to making our experience in New York unique. The staff made sure we knew where we were going and were happy to help us with arranging taxi's when needed.

Koi is such a fun atmosphere with a exclusive menu including fun shareables and entrees. The food leaves your taste buds curious for more. From the dumplings to the steak, everything was perfectly cooked.

The room had a cute mini bar and offered additional items that you might have accidentally left behind. The restroom is the perfect size and the huge soaking tub is perfect for relaxing after a long night around the town.

I'm officially obsessed with this property and cannot wait to return.

Thank you to everyone on the BPH team for making our stay amazing.

Very disappointed in the service and suite. Front desk clerk was beyond rude and not at all helpful or friendly.
the suite was in need of an update, or at least a fresh coat of paint. the mismatched leather furniture had stains on it ( I am pretty sure the substance would be revealed had we had a black light ) - the table had water ring stains and the walls were kind of banged up. the windows were filthy. Keep in mind, this was a suite and by far not the least expensive room in the building. No one ever answered the phone. I had to go to the lobby to get an iron and ironing board. Upon arrival i was told that they do not provide an iron or ironing board in any room. ( still baffled about that one ) The fridge was empty and smelled moldy. there is no room service. the elevators are beyond small and they are dark and creepy.

This is an excellent hotel. From my experience I would say it does not have any hidden fees. Any fees are clearly published if you book directly on the hotel website, for example a facility fee of around $21 a night.

Beautiful views if Bryant park from all rooms in the north side of the building. High floors can see some of the lights of Times Square but it is two blocks north and one to two blocks west so you can’t see it. Note that the rooms on the back side of the building do not have views but they are much quieter. Remember MYC is the city that never sleeps, so that means that horns, sirens and other noises are around the clock. I find that I’m out and about all day and into the night so I prefer rooms in the back.
