On a recent trip to NYC to attend the opera, my wife and I chose to stay at the Ritz-Carlton at 50 Central Park South. We picked this hotel because of our prior experiences with the brand and its convenient location in relation to the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center. As expected, the Ritz provided us with a luxurious stay,...

The hotel is lovely and the service is fabulous. We have a lovely spacious room overlooking central park. All of the hotel staff was extremely accommodating. The room had every amenity we could need. Celine at the bar was especially friendly and knowledgeable on the hotel and its history.

We'd stayed at the Ritz CPS five years ago, and it was top-notch. More than fairly priced. In the meantime we'd stayed at the Mandarin Oriental on Columbus Circle, with which we were not impressed. So this time I decided to compare pricing for the two properties because we were going to dine at One CPW. The Ritz was nicer,...

All service personnel we dealt with from check-in to check-out were extraordinarily professional. They all were at the top of their game with pride in how doing their job reflected upon the Ritz brand and your visit to New York City. They worked together as a team demonstrating years of experience in the hospitality field knowing how comfortable and relaxed...

The room was the biggest room we have ever stayed in that wasn't a suite. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The bellmen were funny and welcoming and offered information regarding the surrounding area.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
