We were on the 10th floor thinking that would be high enough to muffle the traffic sounds but we were wrong. Sounded like we were @ street level, very loud outside noises. Brought dollar store shower curtain liner that helped with keeping bathroom floor dry, worked well. Duct tape helped hold it up.

Great location, very close to manhattan bridge. Hotel was clean, everyone was friendly and helpful, especially our housekeeper, kumarie. Our balcony Room was much nicer and bigger than usually found in manhattan. Roof top bar was cool as well. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.

Definitely recommend this hotel if you in love with Chinatown. Even this hotel is not "typical chinese hotel", the surroundings are amazing. Close to Metro, close to lovely restaurants (also near to Little Italy), lovely rooms with great view, perfect staff.

This hotel is in The Bowery which was synonymous with down and out when I was a kid. It's now a safe but messy neighborhood. And it's Manhattan where everything is ridiculously expensive. I was delighted to find this attractive, clean hotel in the midst of all that. The rooms were a good size for New York. Some had spectacular...

I stayed at the Wyndham Garden Chinatown for three nights in February 2017. I was in town for a solo vacation. What I Liked: 1. The location. I wanted to stay in a part of the city that was not extremely touristy and this hotel is ideal if you want that type of experience or if you just specifically want...

My son and I went to NYC to celebrate his 21st birthday. We managed to get a good deal on a room at the Wyndham Garden Chinatown via Travelzoo. The location is pretty excellent; you're right on Bowery so you can walk straight up to centre town. And while it's in Chinatown, you're also a few block away from Little...

Booked this hotel based on a Cyber Monday deal so this hotel was picked based on price instead of anything else. Location is in Chinatown, right next to Little Italy with the Grand Street metro station one block away. Very easy to get to. We were blown away by the views from our room. Room was a corner unit on...

Its a very nice hotel - for the price!! Location was not our favorite - besides thousands of asian stores, there are no supermarket, delli, or similar store nearby. Room was nice, people at the reception seemed at times like they did not care about the customers. We had to pay 3 dollars per item, while they stored our luggage,...

I found an awesome deal through Travelzoo over Black Friday/Cyber Monday for just $79/night for this hotel, so I had relatively low expectations for that price. But our room (1602) was a corner room with floor to ceiling windows wrapping around two sides of the room with an incredible, unobstructed view of the Empire State Building. The room was very...

Right in the heart of Chinatown, and not far from 911 Memorial, this hotel and its staff were centrally located for where I wanted to go. And the staff was great. If you're looking for a great place to stay after experiencing the city, this is the place.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
