Stayed for three nights while at Columbia University. The hotel is a converted dorm room so temper your expectations. I got two single beds that were dorm beds. The normal hotel items were provided including a small refrigerator and DirectTV. The Wifi has very hit and miss. Didn't work the 1st night and 3rd night. The TV remote buttons were...

I was attending a seminar at Columbia university. This was in perfect walking distance to the university. Its located in an old seminary. Looks a little like Hogwarts! Rooms are basically old dorm rooms. Mine was very clean. Had basic amenities, plus wifi and cable. (No coffee maker or microwave, but had frig and an oven). 24 hour security presence...

i recently had the pleasure of staying a couple of nights in one of union theological seminary's (UTS) landmark guest rooms. although i had some reservations initially (no pun intended), a positive experience with guest rooms at teachers college across the street led me to take a chance--and i'm glad i did. a hint of things to come came in...

I recently stayed 5 nights at the Landmark Rooms on Broadway @ 121st. St. in NYC. In short, the carpet hadn't been vacuumed, the walls of the lobby have visible dirt and grime, and our room, which was the 2nd room because the original room was so dirty, had mold in the a/c, the woodwork had not be truly cleaned...

We have stayed twice at the Landmark Guest Rooms at Union and have found the room quiet and clean, with a lovely quadrangle for morning or late night coffee. Breakfast and lunch are available on campus, though the menu is limited. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Subway and bus stops are nearby, as is a small corner store. If you...

It's basically a dorm room, but with less comfortable beds. The radiator in my room had only two settings: inferno and completely off. There is an ice machine in the lobby, but the night I stayed, it was broken.

I stayed one night in the Landmark Rooms at the Union Theological Seminary. I thought the quality of the room was an excellent value for the price I paid (135/night). Considering the other pricey hotel options in Manhattan, I think this is a great place to stay on a budget if you are visiting Columbia. Room: Very clean, decent hardwood,...

Clean, in the middle of Manhattan facing a cloister garden -- what more do you need? The rooms are very basic, but a good value for Manhattan and it is an interesting place to stay -- the kind of building Hogwarts modeled on (though without all the drama). Quiet (for NY) and located near Columbia.

I became aware of this place through a family member who was a student. My husband and I have stayed here twice (once at Thanksgiving and again at the end of May) and would stay here again. The rooms are on the first floor of the over 100 year old, gothic-designed main building of Union Theological Seminary. If you are...

The Landmark Guest Rooms at Union Seminary is an inexpensive option for lodging. It's next to Columbia University and convenient for the subway and bus routes. The rooms are very clean but also very old. It's a no-frills experience and the rooms on Broadway are pretty loud. All that said, it is an economical place to stay.

“When booking, ask for a room on the courtyard. They are quieter. I've never scored one, but around holidays and school events I think they might be reserved for VIPs. Room 132 has a double bed and a single bed. Higher numbered rooms are farther away from the entrance and have less hallway noise.”
