This hotel is centrally located and is walking distance to many sights in Manhattan with subway around the corner. The hotel is in the heart of Chinatown and Little Italy is just steps away. Batter Park is about 20 minutes away by foot. However the rooms are tiny and a dated and the hotel does not have wireless internet. I...

I've been staying at the Solita Hotel for the four years that my daughter was enrolled at NYU. It is small but cozy, and the staff over the years have always been very pleasant and helpful. It is a great location, right next to some cute restaurants and wonderful shopping. I've stayed at other small hotels in the area, but...

We were on NY for 3 days. I loved the location (reason for which we chose it) -we had 2 subdway stations from 2 different lines very near. -Close to shopping and restaurants. -You have chinatown & soho Rooms: -Pros: Clean, very comfortable beds, silence -Con: We had a room for 4, the beds were ok but you almost couldn´t...

This is a clean hotel with NO bed bugs! I know a lot of people said it was small, but I thought it was a very nice size especially for NYC. Brand new mattresses that were heavenly, double shower heads were really nice. A very friendly staff, and a great location. I would stay here again. My family and friends...

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
