The receptionists can be awful when they're busy. I felt awful after moving there from the W hotel as the room in the W overlooked a building site. I booked on expedia. saw an offer for free breakfast and wi-fi and when i arrived, she said there wasn't any such offer! I pulled out the laptop, showed her the offer...

Great experience, beautiful hotel, $350 per night totally worth it, just a short walk to central Park and Time Square, theaters, fine dinning, just perfect, my view from the 17 floor was awesome. New York+Manhattan= Hilton Midtown.

This Hilton is at heart of the city, giving me the flexibility to explore parks, museums and boutique stores. The room is more spacious than a lot of hotels at NYC. Staff are helpful. The minor challenge is the room is not sound proof well, thus the sound of activities on the hallway plus of the street traffic remind me...

The location of the hotel cannot be beat and I must have received an updated room because the furnishing in the room was clean and aesthetically pleasing. The hotel feels safe with key checks at night and security in sight. Despite the awesome perk of location, you might feel very anonymous in this hotel with very little attention to personal...

Very good place to stay, close to Rockefeller Center and Central Park. Very clean room, would defiantly recommend this place to others. I wouldn't know if the price range as I have never stayed in NYC before.

The hotel is a bit old and it shows in some places. But our room was large enough for three people and luggage. Service was very good, especially the concierge services which helped us to find tickets for a Broadway musical we wanted to see. But the best point of this hotel is its location: close to Central Park, 5th...

We checked in on the 37th floor which we found alittle wierd that it was also the breakfast room. Cramped in a small room all in one. I have been requested to edit my first comment on this hotel which i still cannot understand why because my comments were very positive otherthan maybe the management did not like that i...

For a four star hotel in the Manhattan Theatre district this was not up to the standard I was expected. I accept that everything in the area is expensive but this was ridiculous. For example, a cooked breakfast in the "restaurant" was $45 yet you could walk a block and get almost the same for $15. Also there is no...

The window would not close, it had come off the rails causing excessive noise from outside, cars honking, sirens, etc., and I was so cold at night I had to put on clothes to stay warm. They had summer weight bedding, and I tried to turn up the thermostat, but it didn't work. I was told by management they don't...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
