Great location, terrific price, warm and friendly staff. I heard about this hotel from a friend and it's a great find. I could not have been happier. The neighborhood is quiet - and close to everything you need!

We stayed at the Kimberley on the last stage of our 3week stateside visit. For 5 nights we booked a suite , dated but clean and comfortable. The empire steak house attached is truly excellent and the Italian restaurant the other side gets a thumbs up. Great food. Breakfast good with the roof top restaurant, and in the evening the...

Dear Guest, Thank you for having chosen to stay with us. We apologize for the inconvenience with our elevators; we are installing brand new state of the art equipment to serve our guests better. We still have two elevators in full service however and the final work will be done in a few more weeks. We hope you will visit...

Older Hotel...very clean...good staff. Not a lot of Wow factor here....I think next time we'll be staying somewhere else....just because there are so many other great hotels...the roof bar is a great plus though.

The friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful staff keep us coming back. Super friendly Ralph sets the tone as do Dave and the front desk staff. They whisked us out of our car, got our bags right up to our room, and made check in a breeze. They even upgraded us to nicer rooms! Everything at The Kimberly is always perfect....

We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenage children. Having just returned from a 7 night stay here, I felt compelled to share our experience. From the initial telephone reservation to loading our cases into the departing taxi we all enjoyed the most wonderful stay at The Kimberly. All the staff we encountered without any exception conveyed...

Positives: The rooms are beautifully decorated with quintessential old NY style. The doorman are professional, accommodating, and genuinely pleasant. Negatives: Elevators are extremely slow, skip floors, and 1:3 was broken (huge inconvenience). Beds are not the most comfortable and soundproofing of rooms are not as good as other NYC hotels.

Dear Guest, We are disappointed that you did not have a superb stay with us. We are currently replacing our elevators with state of the art new ones. Overall, the property is nice and the rooms are spacious and well-appointed. My only issue is my experience with the staff, who seem to be lacking the professional, guest-centered approach I would expect of a boutique hotel. It's perfectly understandable that construction is going on and things may be a little harried. But that is not an excuse for poor...

Dear Guest, We regret that your experience was not of the quality for which we are so well known. There are many wonderful things to report on this our return visit to the Kimberly. I'll start out with the physical: The hotel is located on 50th street between 3rd Ave. and Lexington Ave. This is midtown on the east side. A very good location. Far from the maddening crowd if you consider Broadway maddening. It will take you between...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

The Kimberly is a traditionally styled, boutique suite hotel located between 3rd & Lexington Avenues. With 30 rooms and 162 suites ranging from 266 to 935 sq ft., we offer personalized service from a warm and caring staff. Most of our suites have balconies, a rarity in NYC and many offer views of the city. A bonus here, is that in addition to our on-site fitness center, work-out enthusiasts can use any of the NY Heatlth and Racquet Club's 9 locations, including pools and work-out classes at no additional cost and can enjoy a cruise for three hours on their 75 ft yacht (in season) for a fee of $30 which includes a light buffet supper. ... more   less
