We got a room at the 12th floor of the renovated tower. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. We had amazing views of midtown manhattan. The hotel is in a great location, close to Central Park and several museums. If only one bad thing, I would say the elevators, they are old and only three for a...

We booked for 9 nights and emailed the hotel asking for a room on one of the higher floors, once we arrived it was before check in and they said that the room allocated to us was not ready so we could either take a room on the 4th floor or wait 1 hour for ours to be made up....

Good location 15 min walk to times square, restaurants all around in hell's kitchen. We were a group of 8 people, so we basically took taxis everywhere. It's kind of old, narrow corridors, small old elevators. Rooms are clean, but some of the furniture/mattresses a bit beat up (lumpy). Price is ok, not much you can do in Manhattan, to...

Stayed here one night on business trip. Location is ok but not great, it's certainly not in the main tourist area. Not that many decent looking restaurants or bars around so stayed in hotel all night. Room ok but showing its age. Bar diner area service was good but loud crap music was irritating. No major complaints apart from the...

I stayed here for 8 nights from the 11th of March. The room was great, comfortable beds, we were on a higher level so we didn't get much noise from the street. Easy to get a taxi from out the front. A bit far to the subway when it is freezing cold outside but we didn't mind too much. Only...

We experienced a great stay for our recent weekend in NYC! The location is convenient for walking NYC or one can connect with the metro system at Columbus Circle. We found the staff to be helpful and our room to be clean, well appointed, and provided all the amenities we required. We booked the hotel through Hotwire so had no...

stayed 2 nights at the Holiday Inn Midtown on 57th street. The room was of a good size, location perfect.. a ten minute walk to Times Square. The bathroom needs a bit sprucing up, some problem with the drainage other wise it was great value for money.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
