We are still staying at the skyline, leaving tomorrow, checked in we'd 22nd march, check in was super quick and the reception were very friendly, all the staff we came across were lovely and very helpful, the room was a really good size and spotlessly clean, bathroom lovely and plenty of room, view from our room on 4th floor at...

There was (or still is) an ongoing road construction in front of the hotel. Comparing to the other hotels that I've been with, the Receptionist on duty was less friendly, stiff and does not give equal service to all guests. She appears to be uncomfortable when questioned. A Cleaner just opened our door without even knocking. The Cleaner might have...

Room was spacious and clean, beds were comfy. Some of the furniture is showing its age, and there were not enough functional outlets in the room, but those were minor flaws. Hotel pool on the penthouse level had an incredible view, water was warm and relaxing, making for a nice end to a long day of walking through the city....

Good location, reasonable price and clean. We enjoyed the rooftop pool every morning where the water was kept quite warm so it's good for recreational use. Very friendly life guard. The room we stayed had the shared internal door with another room. Our neighbors were loud every night and the walls seemed not very sound proof. Take my advice and...

Stayed at the skyline for 3 nights 15/3/17. Check in was quick and staff very nice. Our room a junior suite was huge nice and clean and comfortable. Times Square is no more than 10 minutes walk away and that was in the aftermath of the blizzard that hit the day before, the only negative is directed at the Mexican...

Great hotel and price. Very clean. Nice location. Good spot for catching a cab too. Nice to know some places in Manhattan are still somewhat reasonable. We went with friends and family as young as 3 years old.

We checked in...offered no help with our bags walking up the ramp from the garage. The woman at the desk was eating food, and had food all over her lips that she was spitting as she spoke. She gave us keys to our room. Upon arriving, we opened "our" door, to find a woman coming out of her bathroom and...

You are absolutley correct, your experience with the front desk agent was unacceptable and then gave you an occupied room . I appologize for this treament and hope you will call me next time you visit NYC so I can make this up to you. Sincerely, Mark Hurewitz

The Skyline is a little gem close to lots of the places that one could wish to visit in New York. It has been described as like a Premier lodge and I have to agree with that description. The beds are comfortable and the room is an adicate size. Internet is not free in the room but costs 2.95 a...

With your review, we should hire you as a spoke person. Your point about location , comfort and surrounding restaurants and bars, is exactly why we feel we are a great choice in the city. All the best, Mark Hurewitz

We had an amazing time. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Affordable price and the cutest Mexican restaurant next to the lobby! The hotel pool looks nice, we spent most our time being tourist so we didn't use it, but it was nice having it as an option! Rooms are average, decent-- if you're looking for a "cheap" hotel...

Only a 5 minute walk from 50 St subway, I found this hotel to be very well situated for a 5 night break in New York. Getting the subway from JFK is only a 40 minute journey (including the walk from 50 St subway) and only costs $5.75. WIFI is available in the very spacious reception area at nil cost...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
