Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.

Steeped in glamorous history, the Carlyle makes an impact as soon as you walk in with its hardwood floors and the gorgeous 59’s decor. Staff are detached but attendant when you need them. An elegant, luxurious place, best suited for an evenings drink.

Dear jimkinney2016, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell far short of that. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. If you would like to further discuss your visit, please do not hesitate to contact our Hotel Manager, Massimiliano Puglisi, at Massimiliano.Puglisi@Rosewoodhotels.com. We hope to have the opportunity for a much better stay following our renovations. Wishing you a happy, healthy new year! Sincerely, The Carlyle Family

We just used the Internet for free in our hotel or Starbucks; we didn't use it very much on vacation after looking things up the night before or during breakfast.Concierge should know other local spots though.

Dear Lillie, Thank you for your message. All our rooms and suites are equipped with safes. We do not work directly with Uber, our partnered car service is Empire CLS which can be reserved directly through our concierge department. Hope this helps! Warm regards, The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel
