The hotel was under a big re-furniture so unfortunately did not see what the hotels true potential was from the main entrance. The lift's were a pain! Being near the top floor you don't want to be walking up all the stairs! But then you would be waiting 15mins for a lift at a time. The room we have was...

Hotel has complementary breakfast. Staffs were friendly. Location of this place is the best. You can reach Times Square in a few minute. Empire state building is absolutely near this place. Furniture was quite old. There was not tooth brush and toothpaste. So, I want to say here is just bring your own tooth stuff.

Spotless rooms and bathrooms / which is basically what you want from a New York hotel, friendly and helpful staff, location perfect, breakfast a bonus, nice bagels, croissants and tea and coffee. if your not happy with this then book the Hyatt or equivalent.

Staff is friendly. Hotel is under renovations. The bathroom in my room had been renovated but not the rest of the room. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The rug could use replacing and the furniture looks like it's been there since day one. Nice touch is the Bath & Body Works soap and shampoo.

Hotel Stanford, although undergoing renovations, is quite comfortable. I was not disturbed in any way by this renovation. The rooms are small, but not cramped. The staff is friendly, and the wifi works. The location is perfect, very close to the subway, and many stores and food places. I will definitely return to this hotel.

Stayed here for 5 nights, and found hotel renovations being carried out. Would have been nice if the hotel had prior warned us but found out later during the stay, everything in New York is not that much of a rush. Considering they started works in late April, not much has been finished especially the lobby which is the first...

The hotel is conveniently located at 6th and 32nd, just a two-minute walk from Penn Station. This is an older hotel but it is clean. The staff was very helpful. I requested a high floor room with street view. There is an office building across from the street so not much view but it's okay. The room we got was...

Our room was large and spotlessly clean with really comfortable beds- just what you need after a day around NY city! The bathroom was spacious with a bath and powerful shower. All really clean. Staff friendly. The renovations did not bother us. On the downside, the room was too hot and temp difficult to alter and the breakfast extremely basic....

Hey everyone is entitled to their opinion but when you're in New York and the weather is good, the hotel is only for sleeping in. Therefore, the Hotel Stanford did its job perfectly, its great central location in midtown lent itself to sightseeing. It does what it says on the tin, nice little budget hotel, can't expect anymore. The staff...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
